Comments: Messi has not played an MLS match yet and Miami has the worst record in MLS
Comments: Cyruss: I guess it depends how much Mayans and Aztecs you have in you as a Mexican. If I like a team because of the good football they play I don’t care what country they are from. I was a big fan of Saudis in the World Cup with their heroic performance. I don’t even dislike Taj anymore they way I did as a kid
Comments: Shahin and Kamkar, I never understood Mexican sympathies for Spaniards ( except Oaxacans). People of andies , have totally opposite sentiments. Peruvians of Inca origin absolutely hate Spain.
Comments: Current squadThe following 23 players were called up for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.[18]
Comments: I have a feeling that a lot of Catalonians were rooting for Spain's women team since it was basically Barcelona FC. Most of their players were from Barca.
Comments: Shahin, you should have a pretty good idea on how an average Mexican felt about the Spaniards winning the title. For most part they wanted them to win. Just yesterday my wife and I ran into a young Mexican couple in San Antonio eating Koobideh in an Iranian restaurant. They both were wearing Spain's team jersey. In Catalonia and the Basque regions things are different. I can't tell you what percent but lots of them do not celebrate when the castellanos win anything in the world stage.
Comments: Ojai and Venice beach were hippies hubs in the greater Los Angeles area until mid to late 80s. Then commercialization took place and the culture started changing.
Comments: Now it all makes sense.
Comments: I remember the song being drug culture related , with the connection to Ojai of Ventura as the heaven for hippies and LSD/ acid experimentation.
Comments: Farzad, I just saw America in concert and the funny line the singer said was that they are the band that plays hits from the 70s for people in their 70s. It was a good concert but one of the singers had passed and they were really old so the harmonies were not the same. That song Ventura Highway came out the year I came to the states and was a big hit around my dormitory. I believe it is a drug infused imagination of California. Not sure though! I hope our California contributors stay safe.
Comments: There are moves and then there is a move from Belair to Waco!!!

Comments: Great to see everyone was happy to see English colonizers lose today. I am not sure how Mexican Aztecs & Catalonians felt about Spain winning
Comments: Zinsky, I think most of people leaving California fall into this category (below). The top reasons Americans moved in 2022 were to improve their quality of life (24%), live in a cheaper area (23%), and get a bigger place (22%).👇 My coworker moved to Waco bought himself a 6000 sq ft mansion by selling his 2 bedroom condo in Belair and had more than half left in cash. He already has regrets due to weather and redneck vibe (he is Christian German with an Iranian Jewish wife). Most left for remote work flexibility but the companies are rolling the remote work back.
