Comments: KAmkAr I was going to recommend Shamshiri… I am glad you went there. Their baghali polo bA gardan is great. Attari is good for sandwiches Aush, and…. i am flying in at 5 on Sunday so will miss you. But go Nerses Vanak too. You may see some old footballers there. The owner is old Ararat player.
Comments: Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday.
Comments: Nicely put Cyruss
Comments: Cyruss I just saw your message. We went straight to Shamshiri since I knew the place from before. Thank you for the recommendation.
Comments: Kamkar, if you are going to WW , Atari offers good array of “ Iranian “ sandwiches
Comments: Kamkar, I have misplaced your contact information. Would you please contact me, if you still have my info or get my information from shahin/farzad . We can meet up near Pasadena on Sunday if you like!
Comments: Lol at 90's comment. Had no ideas. I thought the Persian square will be unbeatable. Yes I know most of those in orange county. I was in Raffis once before. They have great food. The one I want to see is the house of kaBab in Reseda just because of that 180 Benz:) I'm here with my son. I'd love to meet with you. We're staying in Pasadena.
Comments: Kamkar, welcome! Westwood is so 90s ! Farzad is the In house expert on food matters! Have not been to WW in a long time, but typical places like Javan, Shamshiri,…. I heard someone talk about cafe vanak, never been there In Orange County, Darya and Caspian are supposed to be good And in Glendale, Raffiis, if you can stomach 2 hr wait on weekends! Do you have a car? How long you are here for? If you are here by Sunday, I can meet you for lunch at any place you want Or Farzad and mine favorite in Glendale, nersses!
Comments: Saeed Seeking out different perspectives and implementing shared thinking has hardly been an Iranian trait! Trying to make sense of current issues of two IFPs without consideration of the last 25 years is pointless. Discussion boards by essence are not that different from پاتوق coffee shops and clubhouses. A gathering place of some community members to form community of their own community around common interests. For a long time football served that common interest, and it helped for IFP stay intact as majority of members rooted for the same team and renewed their nostalgic memories. As political repression in the country became more widespread and illusions started fading away for those who were still willing to give a chance for “ improvement “ , polarization of the commune started to grow as it did in the motherland. Political loyalties or feelings of membership community became more obvious and transparent The boiling point was during the green movement when tens if not hundreds of martyrs were labeled agents of outsiders, including زنده ياد ندا آقا سلطان. When the admin of the time accused those killed to be performing for BBC and the movement being instigated by Mujahedin, coexistence was no longer an option. His desire to control minds and thoughts, freaking out at the fact that “ his site” was being banned by his beloved revolutionary government and almost every single action he took or notes he posted was demonstrative of his leaning towards the government that was and kept on killing our youth, repressing lives. Hence the split! We are all individuals with different perspectives and almost none of us a major player in the world of politics. Being tolerant of ideas, specially by a moderator, takes a strong discipline and conviction. I’m glad that I see some of it here. It is probably obvious that I have my points common beliefs with the current members as well as major ideological differences. But at least the distinction of خودى " regulars” vs غير خودى doesn’t apply here. The only reason that you see more of a unison voice over there is because نصفشون خودشونن and the fact the IRI troll is playing with them and steering them to a certain direction. Also unfortunately the only potentially progressive person over there, has decided that the 25 year old hatred towards couple of members here and his loyalty to his “ virtual cousin “, trump his value and bring out his bully side. Yes, we are drifting in unity as is our society back home. Call it جبر زمانه،, if you will Bottom line, we are not political parties. More like coffee shops with about total of less than 10 tea drinkers! Personally, I would feel embarrassed and uncomfortable to be in a coffeehouse with a barista with the history of support for tyrants!
Comments: Haven't been in Westwood for sometime now. Which chelokababi do you LA boys recommend?
Comments: Speaking of Captain Shojaii, he will be coaching against his former Greek coach as well as his former teammate as Osasuna ( Tores). , when havadar plays Gol Gohar
Comments: Saeed:
We all knew that the other site has pro IRI leaning people. Zinsky started reposting here and we had few robust debates about retirement, Iran politics, etc.. Just like normal online debates we picked on some of his hypocrisy and he did not like it so he left. The hypocrisy we called him on was more about being Amrika setiz for variety of reasons. After this, the guys on that site started piling it on as Zinsky joined them as well. This was even before Oct 7th and one of the guys indicated that we are selling our wife & daughters to US & Israel which did not sit well with me because I knew these guys living here are hypocrites. After Oct 7th it became evident that the same guy has a US security clearance working for a company that provides sensitive equipment to US & Israel. By the way, this was confirmed in the post today by Rashti. In the line below he is indicating that we said this ۶. چرا به کسی که سکوریتی کلیرنس داره حق انتقاد میدن؟ اصلا حق رای هم نباید داشته با Obviously I have no issues with security clearance but it really bothered me that this is the same guy who made the prostituting my wife & daughter comment to US & Israel. BTW, none of those guys have any issues with this but after Oct 7th everyday posted messages as if we are the ones killing people of Gaza Anyway, I just wanted to give you my point of view.
Comments: It makes sense for his long term plan after football. He sure does not want his kids to grow up in Iran. I wonder if Kia, Hashemian, Nekounam and Shojaie got their non-Iranian citizenship. I am positive Ansarifard has it |
