Shahin, you're right. Our financial quality has increased each and everytime with any new president. That's why I've always believed that the presidential elections are shit show. Our local mayoral and city council reps have a much bigger impact on our daily lives.
With all that said, I still keep informed and have never missed any presidential debate since Carter/Reagan when I arrived here.

A sudden thought came across my head right after my comments about Zombie Biden.
What if our situation was totally the opposite? Another word, there were about two million Americans living in Iran and unhappy with the dear leader conduct. I'm just wondering how freely could those Americans criticize the host nation the way we do here.

Shahin, are you ok with Biden being a Zionist? [smile] I am not trying to throw a curve ball at you[smile], But as you are well aware he declared it since he met Golda Meir some 50 years ago. And he repeatedly said you dont have to be a jew to be a Zionist as he is one.

I am not too stuck with Zionism and I think you are the same. Zionism is a movemnet and means  for the jewish people going back to the homeland.  Nonesense things like this exist in other religions, like the return of Imam zaman and shiasm of our own, and or burn all non-believers wherever you find them (Qur'an 9:5).

So Anti zionism by its definition (Against promise of Homeland for Jewish people in the old testemant ) I am not that.

Anyways, my question always was that I know many 2 atisheh anti zionists. I mean real 2 atisheh.  But then I ask them if Zionism is so bad, if it is such a red line to cross, then why did you guys vote for a Biden who repeatedly in the past 50 years declared that he is a Zionist.

he is vetoing ceasefire left and right.

Tomorrow,  will go over Presidential election map from way before WWII (1932) all the way to JFK (1960).  Roosevelt / Truman era is very interesting.  From leading up to the WWII all the way to creation of the state of israel. Both Democrats.
Well, Democrats of then.

I wonder if the rest have told their wives? [smile]

Ukraine Gets Defense Boost from Israel

Israel will provide Ukraine with an early warning system against missiles as part of an aid package for Kyiv, as it condemned aggression from Russia

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, told the General Assembly on Monday that his country had provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the start of Vladimir Putin's full-scale invasion because it was "the moral thing to do."

Comparing Russia's actions in Ukraine to the militant Hamas group's attacks on Israel on October 7, Erdan said his country knows "exactly how it feels to be aggressively invaded, (and) to have our towns and cities attacked" as he took aim at the "paralyzed" UN for not condemning the massacre that preceded the war in Gaza.

"Both of our countries—Ukraine and Israel—are fighting a battle for our survival," Erdan said, as he touted 100 million tons of humanitarian aid Israel provided to Kyiv in the early weeks of the war.

"The state of Israel will always remain committed to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said, telling the assembly that his country was "working to provide Ukraine with early warning systems to save civilian lives from Russia's indiscriminate missile and drone attacks."

"Interesting. Israel has been rather neutral between Russia and Ukraine before, so this is a big positive change. Surprising that it did not occur earlier," wrote economist and author Anders Aslund on X.

"Extraordinary!" wrote (((Tendar))) a pro-Ukrainian X user who posts about the war, noting that Erdan "totally torched Russia.".

"You can be sure that this speech comes in coordination with the Israeli Prime Minister. It clearly marks the end of the relationship between Putin and (Benjamin) Netanyahu," the post added.

All good!   [smile][smile][smile][smile][smile][smile][smile]

At the end what is important is what the Americans want.  Electing American President or also known as “Leader of the free world” comes with accountability and responsibilities globally.  In the next 4 years the agenda is not going to be education, healthcare, woke, abortion, and….

The world is in war and as I said before WWIII (in a different form) is around the corner if not happening now.

With Russia at war, and China’s economy stalled, US sees a big opportunity to hold on to the baton.  And of course there many ways to skin a cat.  Reagan’s way, Clinton’s way, GWB way, Obama’s way, Trump’s way, and Biden’s way.

The big one was collapse of the Soviet which Reagan initiated and manifested itself during GHB and Bill Clinton.

So, the opportunity is there and the writing is on the wall. Here are some facts that I gathered and many may disagree and that is why everyone will vote differently.

I no longer vote party line. I go with characters, who the individuals are (Senate, house, presidential, and VP candidates) regardless of my registered party line.  As I mentioned many times the doctrines of the two major parties changes just like how Republicans and Democrats criss-crossed 60 or so years ago. With Texas being the most consistent blue state then vs what it is now.

If you are anti - Zionist (just like one can be anti capitalist, anti socialist, anti imperialist, anti Islamic Republic expansion, anti Belts and roads), you chose a pro Middle East peace president. If you are very adamant about anti Zionism one thing is no brainer.  Joe Biden in the past 40 years have repeatedly declared to be a Zionist, is one and will be one. And that is why we see all ceasefire initiatives vetoed.   Zionism may not be a big deal to many and If this is not the biggest factor in your decision making then you vote a package.  The package may not be perfect but could include many benefits that a citizen is looking for.  And that package could be Biden.

My priorities:  Clean the house and get these fucking warmonger GWB era neoconservative Republicans out of this Democratic Administrations State Department just like how Obama and Trump did.  Don’t start a war, don’t instigate one, and end all wars,  as there are many ways to skin a cat. We know that Biden is not going to do it as he is at the service of the NeoCons, but a Michelle Obama may have a very different view and first thing she may do is getting rid of these bastards (Blinken, Sullivan, Kagan, Nuland, Sherman, and….).

And lastly, the Israel Gaza war is not really a typical Israel Gaza or (Jewish / Muslim) or (Israel Palestine) war. It is part of a bigger plan in which US Allies (Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, U.K., France, Germany, and UAE) are all in and will benefit from.

I will give my opinion on other troubled part of the world (Ukraine, Taiwan, South America, and Africa ) later…

This is my 1162 Toman for now.

Schiff is a typical establishment democrat, following party line.
He has been trying to portray himself as a progressive, progressive crowd are not buying it.
The other two are more independent minded. Porter is younger and pro Israel. She has done well in domestic Orange County issues.
Lee is older, progressive, courageous and speaks her mind.
If the senate majority is democrat, then Schiff would e Beneficial to California. If Senate falls to republicans, as they hate him, his work will be obstructed. Lee would have better chance against republicans.

Funny that you asked, I came back from New York and my wife told me that I need to vote. She was torn between Schiff & Lee so she made a deal with my daughter so that each will vote for one. I personally think Schiff will be more effective fighting the republicans and has the skills. Porter will fight them but will not be as effective. Barbara Lee is your principal candidate. I still have not made up my mind yet

California guys, just curious if you are voting!
And if you are, who is your choice for Senate?
I will not be voting for the presidential candidates as they stand now ( being in California and knowing my vote doesn’t really impact the outcome, I have the luxury of not bearing burden of guilt if Trump wins).
I’will be voting for couple of local level elections, as well as US senate race.
Although Adam Schiff holds a big lead in money raised and polls, and he is from my area, I will be casting my vote to the only candidate that dared to say US should not be supporting Israel in the genocide of ghaza people. I will cat my vote for the northern cal , Barbara Lee against two so cal pro Zionist candidates.
She is more aligned with my values, not only internationally but also domestic issues

Shahin, philosophically I have always been curious about the stages that mind evolution goes through in one’s life.
Midlife crisis, personal growth , reinvention and in some the reinvention combined by denial of the past.
Not trying to be judgmental here, but if you are reinventing or going through a personal growth phase, why there is a need for denial of the past as it never happened? Wouldn’t it be more sincere to self to acknowledge, do your independent critical analysis and move on?
That honesty in dealing with self carries more weight than trying a new self without roots. Some of us have been exposed to each other for more than quarter of century so we know or feel a thing or two about others.
Any falsehood in presentation may impress the newbies and oblivious ones, but it sounds fake to those who have been observing:)!

Not necessarily in that order. It all depends where I am at the time. If I'm in a Kurdish wedding, I'm 100% a Kurd. In an Iranian Celebration, I'm 100% Iranian. In a Mexican event/Concert, I'm 100% Mhicano. In an American event, I'm 100% American. My Playlist is full of all 4 nationalities music and I enjoy them all equally.
