Comments: Farzad, I have been arguing that when the word Apartheid is used in relation to IRI, we shouldn’t limit it to just آپارتايد جنسى Keep in mind that many of our hamvatans that didn’t happen to be born Muslims are experiencing apartheid like conditions. What Bahai hamvatans have been going through is deplorable.they are not even considered second class citizens. They have been dehumanized by this regime and her supporters.
Comments: Shahin, people do their normal life and do not say anything because their benefit may be in jepordy. Be it someone who works in Iran who may lose a job when they critique the regime, or someone who posts on a discussion board against the regime who may get banned!
Comments: As a pimp said, we need judicial reform

Comments: Yes shahin, with Yale education you can’t go wrong!
Comments: Farzad, it is a universal concept that languages adapt to their environments. Is true with the larger branches , such as Farsi of Tehran vs Farsi of Yazd for example, English of California vs English of Alabama as well small sub branches. Azeri dialect of Turkish spoken in various parts of Azerbaijan slightly differs due to various factors. And some times a word could have totally different meaning in a different region. You would notice that difference more pronounced in villages when language has maintained more purity. I’m sure that is true with Kurdish, gilak and other languages or sub languages. My Kurdish speaking friends from sense and kermanshah used to have this debate all the time, trying to prove to each other that they spoke more properly:) |
