Comments: Cyruss, you were talking about the Kurdish and other's influence in Khorasan music. The Kurdish influence goes back to Safavid eras when thousands of Kurds were forced to move there. The famous novel کلیدر written by DolatAbadi was about them. They speak the Kurmanji dialect.

Comments: What Reza Shah did truly might have saved Iran as a country because by now all the non Fars people would have felt like strangers in a country named Persia. Of course it was always known as Iran for Iranians living inside the country. I have absolutely no problem with the name Persian Gulf. As a matter of fact I correct my Arab friends when they use the term "Gulf" instead of the full name.

Because the other ones are Iranian too. I think we should make a distinction between the two words. Azaries, Kurds, Gilaks, Lurs, Baloochs, Arabs, Turkamans, and some others are Iranian but not Persians. Iran is truly a melting pot.

Comments: I think northern Khorasan Is arguably the best reflective of melted dominant Iranian cultures. There are traces of Turkish and Kurdish influences mixed with the traditional Iranian elements. You put these three elements in a blender and northern khorasan music comes out.

Comments: Yes I do remember that show. I was always so impressed by the type of Azari dance that looked more like acrobatics. As a teenager I used to try to emulate that but it was so tough. Diversity is a strength not a weakness.
Comments: Farzad, Kamkar : That video clip is part of legendary opera “ arsheen mail Alan”, if I’m not mistaken. I believe the opera was procuded shortly before Bolshevik revolution in Baku by maestro hajibabayev.The first opera in the Middle East, or any Muslim populated country. More than a century after its production, the song remains one of the most popular folk songs of Azerbaijan. The clip May actually be of a later reproduction of the opera . Several movies were reproduced based on this Opera.

Comments: Indeed kAmAr, that is the first thing which came into my mind. As a matter of fact I remember this video vividly and used to watch it when I was a kid. If you recall we used to have this show called "Moosighi Mahali" and we used to see Lor singing, kurdish, Azeri, and even I remember Khorasani.
Comments: I forwarded that Turkish song/dance that Farzad posted to my Azari friends. I can't help how colorful our country is. So many different cultures/languages/dances/foods all meshed under one umbrella that s called Iran. When I was in iran I tried to teach 3 things to those who were trying to speak English.
One was pronouncing a word that starts with "S" and not followed by a vowel. Like Steve. "TH" pronunciation. And how to pronounce a word which has two consecutive non vowel letters. Like Plan instead of Pelan. Or Branko instead of Beranko.
Worked on pronunciation of "i" too. Like in sit or rich, vs pronouncing them Seat or Reach.
"V" vs "W". I gave up.

وینفرد شفر، سرمربی آلمانی سابق تیم فوتبال استقلال به روزنامه ورزشی «گل» گفته است که باتوجه به ممانعت نهادهای غیرورزشی در ایران برای حضورش در آبادان، از باشگاه صنعت نفت شکایت میکند و تا آخرین سنت قراردادش را هم میگیرد.
وینفرد شفر که طی سالهای ۱۳۹۶ تا ۱۳۹۸ سرمربی استقلال بود پس از جدایی از این باشگاه، در مورد نارضایتیهای مردم ایران در زمینههای سیاسی، اقتصادی و اجتماعی با رسانههای آلمانی صحبت کرد. او علیه مجازات «اعدام» در ایران حرف زده بود و مدعی شد که مردم ایران با بسیاری از سیاستهای نظام همراه نیستند.
در هفتههای گذشته، باشگاه صنعت نفت آبادان، پس از استعفای «عبدالله ویسی» از سرمربیگری این تیم، با وینفرد شفر آلمانی قرارداد امضا کرد. همزمان روزنامه «جوان» وابسته به سپاه پاسداران با انتقاد از عقد قرارداد با این مربی آلمانی، به او اتهام «جاسوسی» و «ارتباط با شبکههای معاند نظام» زد و خواستار «دستگیری فوری وینفرد شفر پس از ورود به ایران» شد.
همچنین حراست فدراسیون فوتبال و حراست وزارت ورزش نیز با دستورهایی جداگانه به باشگاه صنعت نفت، خواهان فسخ قرارداد با این مربی آلمانی شدند.
وینفرد شفر امروز سهشنبه ۲۶دی۱۴۰۲ به روزنامه ورزشی گل گفته است که از حرفهایی که زده بود پشیمان نیست و برای نشان دادن اعتراضش به دخالت سیاست در ورزش ایران، به فدراسیون جهانی فوتبال شکایت خواهد کرد.
او گفته است: «شخصا توهینی به کشور شما نکردم تا حق داشته باشند جلوی مربیگریام در آنجا را بگیرند!راین خلاف قوانین فیفاست، اگر اجازه انجام کار ندهند، از آنها شکایت میکنم و باتوجه به پیشنویس امضا شده، غرامتم را کامل از آنان میگیرم تا حرفهای بودن را یاد بگیرند. مطمئن باش.»
آقای شفر درحالی ادعای درخواست غرامت میکند که طی سالهای اخیر، فدراسیون جهانی فوتبال بهکرات چشم بر دخالتهای نظام جمهوری اسلامی در امور ورزشی ایران بسته است.
