Ayrom or as sometimes pronounced Ayrem , were one of the Shia Turkish tribes that were ejected from Anatolia, moved to Iran, instilled Safavid dynasty, massacred many Sunni’s and forced remaining ones to convert Shite religion. Ironically their biggest casualties were in Tabriz, perhaps in 10s of thousands! Another claim to fame of this tribe in General Ayrem ( many of them have Turkish pasvand of Lu , I.e Ayremlu) , the first modern ideological fascist of Iran, who allegedly also served under Hitler. Yes Ayrom , likes it or not :), is a self hating Turk!
