Comments: Coke. We do need to question why things are happening the way they are happening. There is no question that what is happening now (even though expected) is overboard and total destruction. ' The question really is that US, Israel, and U.S. partners including Japan, Korea and Europe they know well what is happening and what the public opinion broadly is (condemnation of the attack on civilian people). Question really is why in this case allies don't give a fuck about public opinion. It is a huge liability for them but they don't give a shit.

Comments: Reality is, right after we saw what happened on October 7th, we all unanimously said the revenge and Israeli retaliation will be brutal and they will level Gaza. That goes to show that Hamas who is responsible for this well knew and I am sure Gazan and all Palestinians, and all who are knowledgeable of this conflict knew what was coming. The Heavy brutal response by Israel should be no surprise to anyone. As Shahin said a mass suicide of Gaza by Hamas happened. On the other hand, we cannot close our eyes on unanimous unconditional support of USA, EU, and yes Egypt and Saudis on this. Not sure what the ultimate gain is but there is no doubt the green light and the Free hall pass is there by these countries. They are well aware of the killing of innocent people, but as they themselves said public opinion is not a priority. Someone had a great idea. That Hamas can end killings of Palestinian people right now, by surrendering and their leadership surrendering at the same time. It will end the killing. Will Hamas do this for the life of Palestinians?.

Comments: Cyruss: I know Richmond real well. I went to high school around there and my wife grew up in the neighboring town. I think the white population of Richmond is around 15% and keeps going down. It was a town next to the bay that got big during WWII with blacks moving from the south to work in shipyards and other war related industries. Due to its housing affordability now almost 50% is hispanic
Comments: Current political climate in US is very similar to immediate post 9/11 It takes some courage to even mention Genocide taking place in Gaza publicly. It took some courage by these guys: The Richmond, Calif., City Council voted early Wednesday to support the Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip with a resolution that accuses Israel of "ethnic cleansing and collective punishment" nearly three weeks after war broke out in the Middle East. The resolution is believed to be the first show of support by a U.S. city for the Palestinian people after the Oct. 7 attack carried out by Hamas on Israel.
Comments: On a totally different note, I can't seem to wrap my head around the crimes that the chosen people are commiting in Gaza. It's not just fair what these people are going through and all the big powers in the world applauding the Israeli crimes and providing them with more arms. There is no justice in there. Yes stupid Hamas instigated the attacks but the extent of firepower and bombings that criminal Nut&Yaboo has inflicted on poor people is not justified. I could Never stand that SOB. The media is a whole different story. Of course when CNN and the others are interviewing the do called "Israelis" with a full American accent, they come across as the good guys vs the local Arabic speakers with heavy accents who are already labeled as terrorists. "OCCUPATION IS THE WORST FORM OF TERRORISM"

Comments: This type of US unconditional support will not be sustainable as deaths of innocent people continue. Unfortunately US actions are mostly about the elections and Biden's unpopularity. If public opinion change so does you us policy |
