Comments: Yes Cyruss, the reaction of pro mullah group is obvious, like what is she going to do with the money ![]() The monarchist always have a passive-aggressive approach towards anything that does not involved them. RP comes in support and the rest start bashing. Waiting on Yasamin's reaction soon
Comments: Farzad, I didn’t know about NIAc’s position. They have to take that position, save facing. IRI leaning individuals at various boards are either silent or angry. Few forums with international audiences, such as yahoo or LinkedIn more disappointing. Individuals with claim of support for Monarchy are bashing her , calling her mentee of shirin ebadi hence eslah talab and are angry that Ms Sepehri did win the prize. Few of them, as IRI did, calling this award as plot of globalists against Iran!

Comments: Cyruss what did exactly happen? Actually NIAC congratulated her.
Comments: ![]() Reza Pahlavi @PahlaviReza Iranians are fighting for their freedom from the clutches of the brutal dictatorship of the Islamic Republic as they have been for 44 years. From this regime’s very first day it has especially attempted to subjugate, control, and humiliate Iranian women. The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarding Narges Mohammadi this year’s peace prize is a recognition of the Women, Life, Freedom movement and this national struggle for freedom. I hope that this award will encourage a shift in Western policy toward offering tangible means of maximum support for the Iranian people and their national revolution and not serve merely as a symbolic gesture meant to deflect attention from appeasement of this criminal regime. The fight of freedom fighters and political prisoners like Ms. Mohammadi, Fatemeh Sepehri, Manouchehr Bakhtiari, Toomaj Salehi, Nahid Shirpisheh and so many others will continues until Iran’s liberation.
Comments: IRI government is not alone in the condemnation. Their apologists are taking up silence, as they are nervous about medals that weren’t won in Asian games, and their infiltrators posing as hard core monarchists are causing embarrassment before international audiences in various forums by bashing her.
Comments: New Senate Act Will Stop Biden Lifting Iran SanctionsSenate Republicans have introduced a legislative measure that would make it extremely difficult for the Biden administration to lift economic sanctions imposed on Iran. The new legislative effort, called the PUNISH Act, comes in the wake of the controversial ‘prisoner swap’ deal in August for which the administration released $6 billion of Iran’s frozen oil revenues blocked in South Korea and another $2.7 billion from Iraq. The PUNISH Act takes away the President’s executive authority to lift economic penalties until the administration can show that the Islamic Republic and its affiliated groups in the region have ceased all attempts to assassinate American officials, citizens, and Iranian nationals in the United States. “President Biden’s strategy of appeasement continues to risk the lives of Americans at home and abroad,” said Sen. Joni Ernst, introducing the Act, “Iran cannot be allowed to continue to attempt to kill US citizens and Iranian dissidents with impunity." The Biden administration seems to be desperate to find a nuclear deal with Iran and is therefore willing to look away when the regime kills Iranian protesters or sells oil that is supposed to be sanctioned, some critics say. “My PUNISH Act will put an end to this failed appeasement strategy and ensure Iran feels the maximum consequences of their actions from the United States,” Sen. Ernst said Thursday. Rep. Jim Banks –who introduced the MAHSA Act– highlighted this in a post on his account on X (Twitter), one day after news broke that yet another young girl had been beaten for not covering her hair and was now in critical condition. “This sort of brutality will continue until Congress holds the Iranian regime accountable,” wrote congressman Banks, “The Senate must take up and pass my MAHSA Act now! Iranian activists on social media were more direct and more pronounced in their criticism. Dozens bombarded the account of the Office of the Special Envoy for Iran, after it expressed concern and shock at the report. “What exactly shocked you?!,” wrote one, “the way they’ve used your 6 billion to kill us? You stood by the Islamic Republic in all these crimes.”

Comments: Who is getting the prize money? "Her brave struggle has come with tremendous personal costs," the committee said in a statement on Friday. Along with the notoriety, Mohammadi will receive a cash award of 11 million Swedish krona, or about $998,850.
Comments: Thanks Kamkar. Looks like Ghotbi is in good spot, I think if he can do big things for that team, his next job will be the Canadian National team
