Comments: Sardar Azmoun to make Roma debut in Empoli match Striker Sardar Azmoun is reportedly closing in on his debut for the Giallorossi. The Iran international signed with Roma late in the transfer window and required a few days of additional training in order to fully recover from a calf proeblem. However, according to Corriere dello Sport, Azmoun’s injury woes are behind him and the player has responded positively in training. Azmoun is now expected to be fully integrated in Mourinho’s group training sessions with the objective of making his debut for Roma in the first game after the international break versus Empoli on 17 September.
