The answer to your Bahrain question is very obvious. 3 or 4 years ago if you asked the same question you would get accusation that we are Iran setiz and pro monarchy and there is a lot of good things going on in Iran. Comments: Farzad: Your article on Ali Vaez yet again reminded me the influence of the Rafsanjani gang as how they wanted to operate moderately yet keeping the armanhayeh enghelab. This group was into getting power and/or money and they got into a business with smart & young technocrats inside and outside Iran. This group started businesses and got rich by way of bid rigging or manipulating the market. They are still the puppet masters of current regime in Iran. They teamed up with power hungry and politically savy individuals outside Iran like Trita Parsi, NIAC, Ali Vaez, Ariane Tabatabie, Farnaz Fasihi, Vali Nasr, etc. These individuals whole existence was to get and stay in power (not necessarily rich) so that they can rub shoulders in the halls of congress and restaurants and bars of DC. Its a life style for them. These guys also loosely believed in armanhayeh enghelab like any hard core American anti Imperialist liberal does. I think Obama was ok with this but Biden was not
