Comments: Spoke to my mom today who is visiting Tehran. One thing she is impressed with is the change of attitude towards ordinary young people. She said they are much more polite & courteous towards their hamvatans especially when they know you are not part of the system

I dont think we were discussing American FP here. Right now as far as American Foreign policy is concerned, Shahin and I are actually at odds. As I believe the neocons of the GWB are running our current foreign policy. But we did not have a frustrating conversation since Shahin understands politics well and we spoke based on facts and not our shekam or zir shekam and he knew who Neocons were and did not need to google Neocon to see if it is a bag of cookies or a cartoon character. The discussion was about America, it being land of opportunites and dreams. Our point was that you can be against US FP (like I am right now), but that does not mean if there was a misfortune or shortcomings in your life planning that is the USA fault. Many in this country plan things accordingly and many dont. and what happens at the end is because of the choices we make. Everything that you do in your life is "your choice". Even if someone says "you should do this" or you tell yourself "I should do this", at the end it is something "you chose to do". just my 1000 toman.

Comments: Kamkar: Actually you, Farzad and Zinsky have a lot in common in current American foreign policy but the discussions always went toward Iran, sanctions, etc. and all the past grievances of last 80 years
Comments: In reality I felt that your alls discussion was going nowhere and each side kept repeating themselves over and again. Nothing wrong with that but since there was two of you vs one he had to over explain himself in different ways to each one of you. I know for a fact if I got in conversation on American foreign affairs with both of you, I'd get frustrated too.

Comments: Cyruss, there are many educational, inspiring, and life lesson movies out there.
I do add to my list, "Life of Pi", "Eat Pray Love", and "The Hundred-Foot Journey". It was in the midle of the "Eat Pray Love" movie that i booked a trip to go to Ubud.
Comments: Shahin, I think KamkAr meant that based on my input when i said he made the right choice. kamkAr does have a point though that he's 90% of the time in disagreement with the few folks who are pro IRI on the other site. And we all supported him. I also think the timing is good as he can be the voice of Zan Zedegi Azadi movemnet on the other site, specially with the anniversary of brutal murdering of Mahsa Amini coming up. He does have our support. we will be monitoring the situation.
Comments: Kamkar: He was as much challenging me as I was challenging him on our discussions. We did not run him away. He asked that we don't read other sites, while he was going to read both. Was this logical to you? He came very strong here as bring it on and I can argue with you but then he did the ghahr which again to me was irrational. What bothered me the most was that his posts on the other site was to not rock the boat and get more of damet garm. What was wrong with posting the protest link over there? Why out of no where he posts US involvement in Chili some 70 years ago. He then says I do me you do you. I don't think he discussed things here for a sharing of ideas as more like I throw out something out there and move on. We tried to dig deeper into things but he would get flustered. What bothered me at the end was when Rashti said I was Farzad's yes man and he not only agreed with it but added with his own flavor (dont feel like finding the exact quote) knowing that Farzad & I differ and argue on many things. He should see us when we meet face to face how much we disagree on. The only thing Farzad and I really agree on is our attitude towards mullah regime and our disdain for people that give them a breakout out right support them
Comments: KAmkAr. I meant it because behind the keyboard things are different and tension is made and life is not worth it. Really no need for the tension. I realized behind the keyboard one may be having fun and chuckling and the other may have totally opposite feelings. The intent is not pissing anyone off. Shahin and I have different views on many things. But we also have a lot in common fundamentally. That's what we focus on. About his 90% disagreement with pro IRI members of the other site, again he is free to do that., Anyways not cool to ruin anyone's day. That is never the intent. We should all live a tranquil life and not cool to cause harm. I even have it tattooed on my arm.

I think the decision not to post on both sites was irrational as the guys on the other site are always in agreement with him. There are no real push back there and everybody says damet garm. Zinsky is always welcome to come back here or anyone who wants to have a robust discussion on anything" Where did I say that him not posting is a good thing?
