Can I ask everyone please to leave the other site alone.  Please do not mention names of the folks from the other site. This will help imposter/pest to have a ball.

We have multiple admins who do a good job of controlling things in a timely manner but why looking for a headache. There is no need for it…

Enjoy your weekend all.

About being divided we have that among Iranians here too. After reading the stuff on both sites one can easily say that the root of the division is that people on both sites got attracted towards the site which is more aligned with their social political beliefs and their background. For example I think Zinsky is kind of confused because on the other site you have pro IRI like Faramarz and Keefer, and Zinsky knows that he has a different position. He also appreciates this site because some of the thoughts here are also aligned with him. But his general anti West and eslahtalab tendencies makes him fit better and makes him friendlier there as he is not challenged as much he is here. In general he is in between but feels the division.

Taremi dived twice got one PK. Porto's Galeno missed it. Porto finally scores in like 121st minute and the game finished in a tie 1-1

Sure internally and socially America would have looked like liberal Western Europe. If America was more passive, how would have changed the Soviet Union or China? How about Iran? What about innovation in technology?

Shahin. It just would not have been the United States of America as it became. It would not have been the land of opportunity as it became.

We are actually seeing some of the evolvement towards that kind of environment but many Americans actually don't want that lifestyle of living. A medium happy system like California is a good example and that is the limit of it. Americans, even the liberal mass Americans do not want too much government like it exists in Europe.

As you know I travel to Europe a lot and have family and relatives there from Spain all the way to Norway. Although lifestyle is different there and more suited for less ambitious people, that opportunity of blending in is not widely apparent in Europe. It is much more difficult to blend in. And I believe it has to do with this country being the land of immigrants. A Swedish Iranian or a Norwegian or German Iranian distinctly look and feel different compared to native ones.

I always wondered about that when it came to families and relatives I have there. But I think they do somewhat feel the same and act like a second class citizen. For example an Islamic center in Germany or Sweden is more boldened and distinct than the one say in Boston or San Diego. The ones in here have lower profiles.

One reason I think is the amount of immigrants. Majorities are not just immigrants like we have here in the US. They are mostly refugees from lower socioeconomic status who eventually become a citizen there and that refugee mark kind of sticks and sets them back.

Even though racism being magnitudes higher in Europe, I do not necessarily blame all of that on German or Norwegian society or their political spectrum. I think to some extent the immigrants and refugees kind of self impose that on to themselves. We blend well here. Unless you are really backward and kaj o koleh.

I did not answer your question entirely. But in a nutshell I can say that America would not have been as unique as it has been if we were just another ordinary social democrat contrives.

I asked this few years ago but did not see any answers.

What would the world look like if US was just like another Western European liberal democracy starting with WWII? I am very curious as a liberal American

Shahin, every country is divided.  Except maybe Iran, they all want these mother fuckers gone.

One country I visited and its citizen just love their country is Oman.  They are so appreciative of their late Sultan Ghaboos and what he did for his people

Getting back to our topic of discussion of last few days [smile]

America is a very divided country. The same reasons many love this country are the same reasons many want to leave
