Comments: Back to oligarchs who are in charge of IRI and the sanctions. With sanctions and without they GhArat our country, and people have been suffering during both periods. I do agree though that even if the West tries to lift the sanctions, these guys in charge of IRI don't want sanctions lifted because they are not after national interest and are only after their own pocket. So instead of barking at Biden let's see if these people can convince those in charge of IRI to see if they can do something for lifting the sanctions. Russia also does not want sanctions lifted on iran so it can remain the Gaurdian of those in charge of IRI. Let's not bark at the wrong tree. The ball is in the court of the Gharatgars.
Comments: You probably got it but I typed “ One is where my lives” and omitted mom after my!!!
Comments: Farzad, I noticed your daily updates on $! I’m assuming you are providing the point that giving IRI tons of cash doesn’t help bring the $ lower. I totally agree. I said it before and I say it again, cash infusion is the worst thing America can do for Iranians. Most of the cash will leave Iran the next day. Either to pay the proxies or buy more luxury goods outside Iran. Another question you asked me multiple times and I didn’t want to get into is why I care if $ goes down. I tell you what you might think but is not true. I don’t have any intention to bring $ out of Iran. I have two properties in Iran. One is where my lives in and the other is rented out to help my mom live the best life possible in Iran. They were never meant to be investments when I bought them 20+ years ago. Now for the reason I am hoping for $ to drop. Historically, the cost of living in Iran is tied to the value of $. From housing to food and other goods. Not an exact match and not for everything but they are usually going in the same direction. I think (not as smart as most) that a lower $ means lower cost of living for most.
Comments: Zinsky: I really believe that you do not support mullhas but you go easy on the system in a eslah talab way. It was blasphemous in the past to ask for regime change as it meant US/Israel attacking Iran. Now there should be no argument about regime change that is why people who want eslahat keep saying that the women movement in Iran or minorities rights will lead in people getting killed in the streets and are not supporting it or America & RP will come to Iran. But I think you have changed somewhat as the result of our dialogue here
Comments: Shahin. You are expecting too much. It is not easy. The best analogy is that here is like you are in the Logan airport and there is like IKA. Like our spouses. They have their own views about the situation and freedom but once they arrive in IKA, they have to put their roosary on and be nice to baradars. You can't arrive in IKA and talk about anti government protest. Yeah... damet garm o khasteh nabashi beh taraf ham migan. It does require shameless and skilled vasat bazi. And to their credit some are really good at it. In everything in life, career, friendship, and relationship it is important to have integrity and strong backbone.
Comments: Today's term of the day is " VasatbAz ". BBC Farsi had a good discussion on vasat bazi. Recommend it to everyone. https://youtu.be/cQAoEDg3cUU?si=IQ6B9TajDIhyXsHU

Comments: My gut tells me to let it go but my fingers don’t listen! Neither here nor there have I said anything in support of mullahs. I did get into an argument with someone who was supporting them in the past but that was a waste of my time. I suppose we agree that I can post whatever I want here and there. I’m not the admin and have no obligation to monitor others either. I get engaged when I have something to say and avoid when the conversation is a waste of time.
Comments: Farzad: I think US plays enough tough friendlies and usually plays the Europeans well. I think Oman or Uzbaks give them a good test as if they can beat the teams they are expected to beat and close out the games. They are also bringing in a lot of young players to these friendlies and they want to give them a fair competition. That is my take
Comments: No it's ok, you don't need to post everything on both sites. Just no vasat bazi when it comes to mullah regime on the two sites
Comments: My bad. I will copy and paste every post to make sure people don’t miss it. I don’t know where most of the people live whom I haven’t had a real conversation in the past. I posted the event here because there was another post talking about it happening worldwide. I just wanted to say, “me 2”!
Comments: Shahin. Is there a list of the cities in the US where the protests are scheduled next week.
Comments: How do you know where lol or l0l live?
Comments: Shahin. Why do you think US chose to play UZB and OMN?
Comments: Zinsky: Why did you post that protest event here but not on the other site if we can all figure this out? I remember Keefer I believe lived on the east coast
