Comments: Not my point. I was just trying to point out what “smart” could mean in this context. Brutal, rootless, crazy but smart enough to go on despite all that.

Comments: Very true but that by itself is not enough. There were many crazy people who had as many guns and more than willing to use them (and did) but they made the wrong deal and got screwed. Once again, when I used the word “smart”, I didn’t mean it in positive way. Unibomber was smart, Hitler was smart, Genghis Khan was smart!
