Comments: This is a good article about MU missing signing Taremi Manchester United missed a huge trick by not signing Mehdi Taremi in this transfer windowhttps://thepeoplesperson.com/2023/08/30/manchester-united-missed-a-huge-trick-by-not-signing-mehdi-taremi-in-this-transfer-window-268924/Taremi’s suitability at UnitedThe Iranian’s age might raise some red flags, but looking beyond the lens of FIFA and Football Manager games, it is clear that Taremi’s best years are not behind him. For one, his game is not dependent on pace. He excels at bringing others into the game by holding the ball up, bringing others into play with short passes, and then arriving in the box to finish chances. Wout Weghorst was ridiculed last season for his lack of, borderline absent goalscoring form. However, it can’t be denied that the United attack looked fluid with him up front. That is because Erik ten Hag has preferred to have a focal point up front during his United tenure.
Comments: Farzad, Roma just signed Lukaka.

Comments: The two obstacles Milan must overcome to unblock Taremi dealMore information continues to filter regarding what is holding up the negotiations between AC Milan, Porto and Mehdi Taremi’s entourage. As of yesterday evening it seemed as though Milan had finally wrapped up a deal for the Iranian striker after days of negotiations, but then later in the night it emerged that some rather large obstacles had presented themselves. According to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio, there are a couple of issues that the deal hinges on, starting with the fact that Taremi has no intention of accepting the salary offer of €1.5m net per season. Then there is the commissions of the deal. The player has decided to rely on an agent who is very close to FC Porto and thus asked for higher commissions. Therefore, the current state of play is that the Taremi operation is one that has become ‘complicated’ and given the limited time left in the window, it remains to be seen if it can be unblocked.
Comments: Good morning all. Zinsky, as you'd know it's called divide and conquer. I just found out that Mohsen Zamani passed away. He was from my hometown and his parents lived two doors away from ours. He would make frequent visits to Kermanshah. One time he refereed a game in Khosro Parviz stadium and I was there in the crowd. At half time he put up a show with an amazing ball control. As a kid I was thinking how a referee can do all that!
Comments: Looks like Taremi deal is falling apart. Taremi to Milan almost off – ‘Everyone wanted to dip their spoon into the cookie jar’ As the hours pass, it becomes more and more clear what has happened to make the deal that would see Mehdi Taremi join AC Milan collapse. According to MilanNews, yesterday’s difficulties between the two clubs – with Porto having changed the economic conditions of the deal – had been overcome but it is those with the agents and intermediaries of the operation that are bringing the negotiations towards a dead end. Jorge Mendes, Alireza Nikoomanesh and Pedro Pinto of Empower Sport have made very high financial demands for their commissions. The way that the report puts it is as follows: “Basically, everyone wanted to dip their spoon into the cookie jar.” In other words, every party involved wanted a slice of the money. This sudden change in the situation – after being one step away from closing the deal – has greatly irritated Milan, who continue to work on potential other options. If no other target emerges within a few hours, Milan would find themselves forced to block Lorenzo Colombo’s move to Monza.
Comments: kAmkAr, I always had a hard time with jokes and BS regarding different Iranian ethnic groups. From Turks to Kurds to Isfahanies to Rashti to others. Even as a kid, I could find the jokes funny. These days, these groups are being used as a way to separate the nation. I’m sure there are small groups who want separation but most that I know of are proud Iranians hoping for better Iran as a whole.

Comments: The most interesting thing about Taremi playing Milan is that he would potentially pair up with American captain Pulisic upfront in Milan forward line.
Comments: Shahin, only those who are IRI sympathizers.
Comments: Considering the slow nature of negotiations with Porto, many are starting to wonder why Milan are so intent on signing Taremi. One reason is their obvious need for a striker. Stefano Pioli’s only reliable goalscorer front is the 36-year-old Olivier Giroud, who saw over 3200 minutes of action last term. Whilst Milan did spend around €15m total for Noah Okafor, the 23-year-old has never been a particularly prolific centre forward, netting just 34 goals across 110 games for RB Salzburg. Internationally, he’s scored twice in 14 caps. The same cannot be said about Taremi. The Iranian found the back of the net 31 times in 51 games last season, managing to provide 14 assists as well. Not only is the 31-year-old able to regularly make the difference in front of goal himself, he’s also able to provide strong setups for his teammates. Another attractive aspect of a deal is the transfer market landscape. In recent years, reliable strikers have become something of a hot commodity, visible with deals like Manchester United’s €85m total acquisition of Rasmus Hojlund. For Milan, the chance to sign a proven striker for less than €20m is a bargain, especially as they look to take back the Scudetto from Napoli after their disappointing fourth-place finish last season.
