What should we call the 80% who are dissatisfied with the way America is today? Anti Americans?

I don’t think I complain too much. The only thing I recall complaining about was the cost of healthcare. What else do I complain about?
These are some other people complaining!

About Alaska, Alaska pays you to live there

What benefits do you get for living in Alaska?

All Alaska residents who have lived in the state for one year receive Permanent Fund dividend payments. In 2022, the payment was quite substantial: $3,284 per person.

The Milan organization also was implying that playing in AC Milan is a privilage and Taremi should have accepted the 1.5M offer.

It is like working for NEOM, I go there with a paycut.

Yes... but based on what I read, it was really Porto who messed things up.  Those agents were imposed by Porto to do final contract with Taremi. I think what happened was that after the agreement the night before, they changed their mind in the morning, and they threw their thugs in there to dismantle the deal.

Maybe Saudi arabia will pay the 30M Euro.

Not talking about Zinsky, just in general.

Yes there are also some around me who basically nag and complain just about everything. And it is always someone's else's fault. Be it economy, weather, school, and... and they are always in misery (mentally).

As my mentor Dr. Dyer said, there are two ways to look at the world, one is like an eagle observe everything from high up and do what the right thing is, or live like ducks  keep quacking and complaining with shit all over around them walking over the shit and keep going quack quack quack...

The everyday life of both.

Bardia and Shahin are like my brothers.  It is almost like we have known each other since childhood.  Different views about many things, but fundementally aligned and have a lot in common. Our gatherings are full of laughter and we enjoy each other's company.  Will never miss an opportunity to hang out with them.  Gorbi too... he is just a bit too far north.

Kazem, you too[smile] I was at your neck of the woods earlier this week in Buffallo. Kind of in and out trip.  Next time I stay an extra day and will come to Rochester. Had a great time with you in Brazil. We met in person there, but again we clicked so well that it looked like we have known one another since childhood.

Seyed, grab Gorbi next door and come on down. Dont you ever have a biz trip to Long Beach?

Farzad:

1. I see too many agents got involved and could not agree to make it happen
2. Milan could not convince Taremi to skip Asian Cup
3. The price became so low that Porto decided to have Taremi for the season including CL against Barcelona
4. Taremi decided that he will make more on wages next year as free agent

All four were factors in my opinion

Come on man. I did not want to get you upset. As I said before, I show my friendship with someone not via damet garm. I also joked with Farzad about going to Kerman. You should have seen the arguments between Bardia & Farzad in Qatar [smile]. But in general you remind me of some of my very dear friends that complain all the time. Quite nice and generous folks. I do ask them the same thing when they complain too much to come up with some positive stuff on daily basis. Once one of them finally came back and said "emrooz shikamam khoob kar kard". It does not have to be nice things about America or Boston. [smile]

Here's a look at the five most-costly states for single workers, based on how much money they'd need each year to get by.

  1. Hawaii: $112,411
  2. Massachusetts: $87,909
  3. California: $80,013
  4. New York: $73,226
  5. Alaska: $71,570

Hawaii ranking first is not surprising, as the cost of living there is typically among the highest in the country. Because Hawaii is an isolated chain of islands, most shipping is done by sea rather than by truck or rail, which increases the cost of consumer goods. Land for real estate is also limited, which has driven up home prices.

Similarly, Massachusetts, California and New York require relatively high living wages, largely due to the fact that Boston, Los Angeles and New York City have some of the highest housing costs in the country.

Looking at the results as a whole, single workers' median income of $57,200 only covers the living wage in 30 states.

Single people may have to make sacrifices to get by

Although the study uses the 50/30/20 budget as a guideline for determining living wage, it isn't always a realistic measure of what people can afford, primarily because of ever-rising housing costs.

That usually means some sort of compromise is needed to make ends meet, whether that's cutting back on retirement contributions or eliminating other costs, like owning a car. In the case of large, expensive cities, getting a roommate is sometimes the only way a single person can cover their expenses.

While couples can usually find some cost savings by splitting mortgage or rent costs, there is no such discount for single people, which is why they typically spend thousands more on housing each year, compared with what married or people pay.

Location also plays a role. Individuals who earn around $57,200 can live comfortably in more rural states in the South and Midwest, where living costs are much lower.

Again, a lot of that has to do with housing costs. Median home prices in the South and Midwest are $311,800 and  $366,600, respectively, much less than the overall U.S. median of $410,200, according to National Association of Realtors data.

Here's a look at the cost of living in each state, in alphabetical order.
