Comments: Zinsky, sad news coming out of our homeland is an everyday expected thing. The uprising anniversary is near and we probably hear a lot more of the bad news. I truly hope that's not the case. One thing thats always worries me sick to my stomach is the fear of a civi war in case this regime comes to an end. We have to understand that these people will not go down easily. They will kill tens of thousands because they know that if the regime doesn't survive, they and their families won't survive. We don't want Iran to end up like Syria, and Iraq. If that's the case I'd much rather for things to remain the same.

A range of indicators suggests that Beijing is facing economic headwinds. Growth has failed to meet expectations. Foreign investment is sagging. The ever-crucial housing market is soft. Companies and government institutions are struggling under mounds of debt. The economy may not recover in the second half and growth would fall far short of 5% this year if the property sector does not stabilize, either because property policy is not eased significantly, or proven insufficient to halt the fall. In which case, a prolonged deep property downturn will continue to depress income and confidence of both the corporate and household sectors, as well as prices.
