Comments: And 1% African. Everywhere I look I cannot find the African part ☺️
Comments: Zinsky: We are definitely relatives. Baku and Lankaran are part of mine as well. I recently received a short shajarenameh. I will share that with you. There was lots of infighting in that tayefeh. My side does not even show up there

Comments: My ancestry.com shows I am 85 percent from Caucasus countries like current Georgia and Azerbaijan including Gilan going down all the way to KhorramDarreh and Abhar of Zanjan. I know that on my mom's side we have Tatar as well. My mom's Swedish ID has her place of birth as Baku, Soviet Union. And they kept it that way. They did not change it to Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. I also have 6% Jew. First report that came out had me at 9%.
Comments: My father’s side were from Baku, or at least that is what they were told.
Comments: They shut down Karim Bagheri's discotheque
Comments: Shahin, Interesting. Yeah, both my parents are from Zanjan.
Comments: The latest Census data in US is available for 1950 census. There are also available for 1940, 1930, 1920 & 1910. You should be able to filter for the place of birth like Iran/Persia and you will get a lot of hits. The early Iranian born people were mostly Assyrians settling in Chicago and central California. There were some Armenians too but they mostly came from Turkey. It's fascinating if you want to spend some time there. For example many Iranians that in the 40s went to Berkeley & Stanford ended up big scientists and administrators here or back in Iran during Shah
Comments: Zinsky: I saw your post on the other site. Utah was a place for many Iranians in the 50s to study including Ardeshir Zahedi. By the way I remember a while back we communicated via email and you have the same last name as my mother. That side of my ancestors came from Azarbaijan down to Astara eventually Anzali. I did Ancestory.com DNA test and it does trace some of them back later to Isfahan and Zanjan
Comments: Great goal by Liverpool
Comments: Ghoddos is looking around for a team. There was a rumor of Tracktor but I think he will go back to his native Sweden and perhaps his home town Malmo
Comments: As part of my job, I do lots of Root Cause Analysis. If you have done one in your career, you understand it’s not as simple as it sounds. Higher management would like to read the final executive summary. What they hope to see is that someone/group messed up and by replacing them all will be fine. Unfortunately, most reports don’t come out like that. Most find systemic issues, lack of leadership, wrong or No process control. It requires to find a time that the problem didn’t exist and find out what was the trigger for it going wrong. It’s very complicated and the answer is not clear. We look at world events and try to find a shortcut between good to bad or vise versa. We would like to find the bad guy and blame it all on him/her. And finally, we assume just removing him from the equation will solve everything. To run the analysis, one needs in-depth knowledge of the overall situation and every aspect of it. I do well with my area of expertise but when it comes to international politics, I’m clueless. I go with others say which I have realized is 80% BS!!!
Comments: Common knowledge among us. "Patriot" Americans are so naive.
Comments: Where is Ghodoos these days?
Comments: Yes she is very street smart 😂 |
