Comments: Yeah. I don't think IRI made these numbers. It was during the Iraq invasion and oil prices sky rocketed Again if you google you will find what's AN's income from oil was. This has been discussed and debated on what he did with this record breaking income. This is not today or yesterday's news. Been known for the past 10 - 15 years. Again if you google you will find. Here are some
Comments: Ok since you believe in sanad or documents. Question on Occupied Palestine: When in late 40's Israel occupied the country of Palestine, Who was the leader, president, or king, or prime minister of the country (Palestine) when Israel occupied that country and what happened to him/her? I ask in Farsi so you understand better
Comments: Once again, the question is not if they are stealing the money. That is proven beyond a shadow of doubt. The question is how much. Real/accurate numbers make the argument more reliable. Made up numbers make it weak and open to interpretation. One thing we want to avoid is to come up with made up numbers and later on try to defend them. Crime has been committed. Everyone knows that. Let's do our best to avoid comments that could take away reliability of the case. Even better, just say the facts (they are thieves) and make the case on that. Thank you!
Comments: Keep googling. You will find it. It is all over. These are from horse's mouth. What he made in his tenure according to the statistics from IRI was near 800 billions. Let's say it was not 800 billion. And let's give him 200 billion discount. Let's say he made 600 billion. This was still more than 585 billion made before him in the history of oil income in iran mentioned. Capisce??!!
Comments: I also have a hard time finding a reliable source for $800 billion. He was around 8 years, that means oil revenue was $100 billion/year. I will continue looking as well.
Comments: My bad! I can't find any data for 100 years. It is very important to start a discussion with solid facts otherwise everything said is questionable. When a 100-year reference is made, it need to be supported by facts. It can't be 67 years, 93 years or whatever. I like facts and supporting documents from reliable sources. I will keep looking.
Comments: You can do the math. That you can do. Find oil income from 1357 until whenever AN became president. Add that to the figure below and then you see the magical answer. Oil income for the 67 years combined before the revolution from 1290-1357 combined was 132 billion dollars.
Comments: This is great. This sounds like almost no sanctions on iran. What happened to all this money? You say if sanctions are lifted people will benefit. This is almost like no sanctions. How did people benefit from it? Dollar should have gone down to your wishful number (25,000 T) and prices of goods should have gone down significantly. Did it? The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) in a report put Iran’s oil revenue in 2022 at $54 billion, up $17 billion from the country’s oil income in 2021. The EIA’s report also put the Islamic Republic’s oil revenue in the first five months of 2023 at $19 billion.
Comments: My question was not about the oil revenue during AN. My question was about 100 years combined. No, I don't know how much Iran made/makes each year from oil. I can google it and get some answers but asked someone to check the numbers as I found data that didn't match the claim. Once again, I am not arguing that money made by oil or any other resources in Iran has a tendency to disappear with no real explanation. It is true and proven. They are very good at losing money and not getting punished for it. I only have problem with math. I wanted to understand the 100-year reference. I still don't have a source that talks about 100 years before AN and the total review from oil. Based on the numbers indicated under AN ($800 billions), it means each year before, for 100 years, the average yearly revenue was 8 billion. Just getting my facts right.
Comments: About republicans slamming Biden on prisoners swap??? Are you serious. Of course republicans say these things to gain brownie points. If it was the other way democrats would have done that. Whenever the two parties find a chance on any subject they jab one another. That happens ALL THE TIME.
Comments: Zinsky. How come everything sounds new and surprising to you? Really you did not know that the oil income during AN was equivalent or even more than the history of our income from oil before him? This is not Neocon or offside rule that is new to you. These numbers have come out of IRI Bank Markazi. As I said, it will be good to do research on some of these things (if you are really interested) so we can have a healthy discussion. You can't start a conversation with I don't know enough or I am simple minded or I can't read something for more than 5 minutes and then have strong opinion on the subject without any substance. Trust me, The internet is a treasure box full of information. It will help for healthy discussions. That way we can have exchange of views with substance. My discussion with Shahin about Neocons foreign policy was not about defining who Neocons are. He knows well who the Neocons are, he knows well that some elements of Neocons are in this admin but he does not necessary see them as influential. Based on the knowledge he possess on the subject I can debate the subject with him, I learn a few things from him in terms of his views and why he thinks the way he does, and he learns about my views and what my concerns are. He understands my concerns. We don't go on the drawing board to define if Neocons are democrats or republicans. That is not the discussion about Or I don't dare to discuss, challenge, or have opinion about Arsenal or Manchester United with Bardia for example. He will "Barry" me (no pun intended😀). Or challenge Mahmoud for that matter about commercial airline industry. He knows more than me. I can learn shit load from him. Anybody anyone wants to know about implantable pacemakers or implantable defibrillators, I can help. That is my profession. Anyways here you go, Based on what I read. Oil income for the 67 years combined before the revolution from 1290-1357 combined was 132 billion dollars. When they say that during AN the oils income reached 800 billion, that income was equivalent or more than the income from 100 years of oil income combined. Based on that income everyone and their mother are asking what happened to all this unprecedented income.
Comments: So true: [ راستی اگر روزی دسترسی ما به دنیای مجازی و اینترنت قطع شود ، چقدر " واقعیت ما " حرفی برای گفتن خواهد داشت !؟ ] شاید این سوالی است که باید هر روز از خودمان بپرسیم . { حقیقت تلخ اینکه بیشتر ما جنگجویان اینترنتی هستیم ! بدون اینترنت ؛ ما نه فعال حقوق زنان ، نه حامی حیوانات ، نه طرفدار محیط زیست و نه فعال در زمینه های حقوق بشر و بشر دوستانه هستیم . بدون اینترنت ما یک تهی درد آوریم ؛ چرا ؟ چون جنگیدن به وسیله کیبورد ؛ راحت تر ، کم خطر تر ، در زیر کولر خنک تابستان و در کنار بخاری ، پکیج ، و شوفاز گرم زمستان ، و جای آرام و بی درد سر است }
Comments: Can someone do the math? The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) in a report put Iran’s oil revenue in 2022 at $54 billion, up $17 billion from the country’s oil income in 2021. Comments: Agree/disagree? It will help IRI, correct? Republicans slam Biden’s deal to free Americans in Iran as ‘appeasement’ The plan, now unfolding, involves a prisoner exchange and giving Tehran regulated access to billions of dollars. Republicans on key foreign policy panels are criticizing an unfolding plan that would release Americans imprisoned in Iran because it involves giving the Islamist regime access to billions of dollars — with one calling it a “ransom.” Sen. Jim Risch of Idaho, the top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, shared his reservations Thursday as several Americans were moved from an Iranian prison to hotel or house arrest, a key early step in the deal. |
