World has changed because of technology and because of it what you call globalism is inevitable. We will not be able to make America or Europe great again and keep our national identity anymore. Even in Iran, the Afghan lives should matter. I think that is the conflict at hand. Do you want to honker down and ignore what is going on around you or participate in the new world. People cheering for Mexico or Serbia in US stadiums does not bother me. This has become a melting pot with no strings attached to it

Trust me I am not into these Republicans. From Reagan to the last one GWB. I have nothing in common with their platform, although I appreciate the tax cuts. Healthcare education LGBQT rights, abortion, energy pricing are all Important for me. I am ok with government spending. For US to be the ultimate superpower is also important to me. For US to have enough military for deterrence only I support as long as healthcare and education are not comprised, wars directly or proxy I don’t support.

I am really trying to say I am a true Democrat. [smile]

but let’s clean the house it is really infected.

Do you want me to dig in your article and figure out what’s behind it? 😂I am good at that and I know you just googled it 😂

I think Republican neocons need a home and Maga world is not for them. So they have courted the dems and dems gladly accommodated them and will use them as part of the base to get votes. I don’t like to label these as Neocons want war all the time. I think they go to war on a case by case basis. They fucked up grandly in Iraq and going forward they are more strategic. I don’t consider Biden’s action in the office neoconish so far. He hasn’t attacked Iran, he has not escalated things with North Korea, etc

I didn’t say you like Russian propaganda 😂. At the end when it talked about Russia, China and especially Hungry sounded a like some other stuff I have been reading where they support strongmen regimes against US.

That is just one Shahin …there are many. You google neocons and you get 1000s. I picked one with very simple and summarized explanation.  Have you seen the Neocons series on PBS to see who is who and what they are doing right now?  Are you really telling me the neocons are not in this admin? They are dominating the foreign policy. I talked about these stuff like 6 years ago.  This is not new, what do you expect, you want CNN or MSNBC to publish these to be credible? Come on man.  See the names, get to know them. There is direct link between Cheney era and this admin. Just go over the list. You are a smart man, you read books and articles.  Dig in. Yeah, Trump is a taboo for you but this has nothing to do with trump, Cheney didn’t have anything to do with trump. Just like that? Russian propaganda? [smile]no effort to do a fact check? Like the names mentioned don’t exist and not in this admin?

Here, is NBC credible?

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/more-100-former-aides-john-mccain-endorse-biden-president-n1238393

Here, same article in a Belgium instituted, is it still Russian propaganda?

https://www.ieri.be/en/publications/wp/2021/mai/joe-biden-and-neoconservatism

Just because there is an article exposing Neoconservatism that becomes Russian propaganda?

Isn’t McCain who endorsed Biden a Neocon? Republicans nominee after GWB.

Here is Robert Kagan, Victoria Nuland‘s husband who is in Biden’s foreign policy admin. The think tank of neocons?

https://theintercept.com/2016/07/25/robert-kagan-and-other-neocons-back-hillary-clinton/

Russian propaganda? [smile] That simple? Last week the reason for neocons in Biden admin was continuity of foreign policy, which I agreed with you[smile], and this week it became Russian propaganda? [smile] Come on Man.

Anyways, just throwing fact out there for awareness. I want my Democratic Party back. Because my way of life was aligned with their values. Neocons and warmongers should have no business with my party. But looks like your support for the party is unconditional and that’s totally fine.

But man, you know me. Russian propaganda?

This is not new. Nazis used it brilliantly before and during the WWII.
“ propaganda” has been very successful and intense since right before Trump/Clinton election. It has created an atmosphere of hate, doubt, anger and mistrust. Either side sees the other side as enemies. They go deeper in their beliefs and completely disregard the other.
That was the point. I’m not sure if they cared who wins as much as they cared to divide the country. Russia, China or even Iran can benefit from a divided America.

I don't know where that Neocons on Board article came from but I smell Russian propaganda. Very similar to some of the things I read coming out of Russia

I think most of us know the history of the 3rd party candidates. As far back as 1st Clinton to the 2nd one!
My question is why run as a 3rd party candidate at all knowing that you have no chance of winning due to the existing system in place!
Is it to prove a point? Is it to get noticed and possibly get future position in the government?
Kennedy’s positions are more aligned with Trump than Biden. Other than his campaign against climate change, he is not a democrat per say. My personal feelings aside, I don’t see him getting any traction from either side. He has the name recognition but that is it.
When someone gets into conspiracy theory game, he needs to be very careful. He might be right about some of his claims but one crazy theory is all it takes to make him a crazy person.

This is the issue!

The Neocons are on board

The Democratic Party is not what it used to be. Donald Trump’s rise to power in the US in 2016 was accompanied by a mass exodus of neoconservatives from the Republican Party. William Kristol, Max Boot, David Frum, Rick Wilson, Jennifer Rubin suddenly became Democrats, accusing Trump of betraying the ideals of democracy.

This convergence started during the Obama years, when Max Boot wrote that Hillary Clinton was a “powerful” voice “for ‘neoliberalism’ which is not so different in many respects from ‘neoconservativism.'” Figures on Biden’s foreign policy team like future Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the national security adviser Jake Sullivan, or Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines awere notorious interventionists.

However, Trump’s rise to power was a turning point when neocons began to declare their disillusionment with Republicans en masse. Consequently, their influence in the Democratic Party and its affiliated media increased, where neocons like Max Boot became the leading experts on foreign affairs. Nearly 300 former Bush officials endorsedJoe Biden in 2020.

Briefly, the doctrine of these people can be formulated as follows: the US should actively interfere in the politics of other countries, remove unwanted regimes, promote liberal democracy with all its might, ensure its planetary hegemony by all possible means and fight against countries that challenge the value and military hegemony of the West: China, Russia and smaller countries like Turkey or even Hungary, where sovereign and “authoritarian” tendencies are too strong. And of course, Israel must be guarded at all costs.

Generally speaking, It is very difficult to beat an incumbant. Ironically his father RFK was running against an incumbant (VP Humphery, when president Johnson decided not to run), but after winning the california primary big and taking the lead, he got assasinated.

For RFK Jr to have a chance, running as a Democrat is not going to help him, as the incumbant has it in the bag, even Carter did.  And even if he is close in primaries, DNC has the reserved Superdelegates and will throw it at Biden.

Now if he runs as an independent (a 3 way race), then he will get lots of votes across the board but may still not be enough to win any states. That happend to Ross Perot  in 92 election running with Bill Clinton and GHB. He actually got near 20% of the popular votes but not one single EV.

But.... he can hurt the incumbant as an independent. Ross Perot running as an independent did hurt GHB in 92. With Perot being Republican in nature, he took away many Republican votes (near 20 million) from GHB. Had he not run, GHB would have gotten most of those votes and could have won the 92 election against Bill Clinton. Perot spoiled it for GHB.

Now by the same token, if RFK Jr runs as an independent, by virtue of being a Democrat, an iconic Democrat, and a Kennedy brand, he can spoil it for Biden and take many of the democratic votes away from Biden.

So, in a nutshell, no he does not have a chance, but can certainly hurt Biden if he runs as an independent.

In 2000, Neocon Republicans did everything to get GWB in. That election was close (the hanging chad election) but Neocon Republican muscled their way in and forced themselves to the White House with the Supreme Court ruling, after 8 years of succesful presidency by Bill Clinton. With Neocon Republicans now on Biden's side I think that muscle is even stronger to get Biden in.

So in summary for Biden to win, Trump (strong base) and RFK Jr (a Democrat taking votes away from Biden) should not be in the running and that paves the way easily for Biden. And that is why we are seeing that the push from DNC and Neocon Republicans is strong to make sure Trump and RFK Jr are not in play. With those two not running, it will be a slam dunk for Biden.

Unfortunately, the two parties have full control of the system. Without their support, no candidate can get enough support to win a presidential election. Running as a 3rd party candidate is just that. No explanation to win but just noticed.
