Yeah. Rubio idea as SOS raised questions, that is why not confirmed yet. My choice would be Grenell.

 

Although Rubio has softened his stances on many things to align with trump and became a trump affiliate he has to pass the test. Although not comparable to neocons like Pompeo, Haley, Elliot Abrams, and Bolton who have been kicked out, the jury still out on Rubio. But the important thing to bear in mind is that even though he had those neocons (Bolton, Pompeo, Haley) in his Admin, still he did not let any wars to start.

 

I still think he will keep a deterrent like he did with Bolton. He was there for that purpose.

 

Government efficiency and cutting waste in the government is something every admin has been involved in. The most notable initiative was led in Bill Clinton's Admin. Which he executed perfectly and turned the national deficit to a national surplus.

 

Looks like Trump is going with loyalists at the helm of these various departments. But then again almost every president including Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton hired loyalists. After 2 impeachment, 92 indictments, 34 misdemeanor charges, and two assassination attempts, tough to trust anyone outside of circle.

 

Anyways. Lots to be achieved in the next 4 years but first and foremost wars have to end to be able to address "America First".

With Trump transition team helping him on forming his cabinet, there are four critical positions which will require heavy vetting.  

1- Secretary of Defense (Lloyd Austin)
2- Secretary of State (Anthony Blinken)
3- National Security Advisor (Jake Sullivan)
4- Director of CIA (William Burns)

Although not confirmed, he has tapped on Mike Waltz to take on NSA position. For SOS, Marco Rubio was mentioned, but most on Trump transition team are promoting Richard Grenell, former Ambassador to Germany.

For Director of CIA, Trump is high on Kashya Patel or John Ratcliffe. And lastly I think Tulsi Gabbard eyeing on Secretary of Defense job but may go to Pete Hegseth .
