Comments: NATO is not going anywhere. Putin did not want to invade Ukraine. He was instigated. He invaded Ukraine twice. Obama time and Biden time (let's call it Neocon time. As much as Obama tried to kick the mother fuckers out they came back in some other way). And I admit they are everywhere. Nikki Haley's or Rubios for example who are supposedly pro Trump are Neocon. But Neocons are smart. They plant seeds elsewhere. 2000 election is another example. Somehow the main Neocon (Joe Lieberman) became Al Gore's running mate. Just in case GWB / Cheney don't make it. That's how they operate. It all started with "Russia Reset" in GWB era. Trump winning election (which he himself couldn't believe) was a disruption to that Russia Reset continuity. That is why in that election Bernie Sanders, although ahead, was pushed aside in favor of Neocon friendly Hillary. Democrats lost the election exactly because of this. Bernie would have been the winner "hands down" with a landslide against Trump. But Bernie would not have done Neocons any good. He was as bad as Trump in terms of choices for Neocons. "Russia Reset" is defined as regime change in Russia and toppling of Putin, for no major reasons. He wasn't doing anything. If anything he kept asking West to be part of the Western world. watch the first few minutes of Lex Friedman podcast with RFK. Regime change in Russia. That is what instigated everything.
Comments: I still do not understand or even believe in existence of neocones. May this be a made up theory of some liberals, which we know it is all bogus. I heard about it first time pre Iraq war. But I am not sure about it. In my opinion, Iraq was a big failure for US. The only beneficiary of Iraq war, was IRI. So the Neocons were working hard to benefit IRI? Globalism on the other hand, in my opinion is not a bad idea. It has made few poor countries extremly rich and powerful; India and China. Obviously, it has expanded capitalism.
Comments: Rumors within Trump circle is that RFK Jr and Tulsi Gabbard maybe appointed as CIA and DIA directors, respectively. Fits both of them well actually. Did not know, grabbing a banana by a U.S. soldier in a US base in Iraq costs $35 of taxpayers money.
Comments: Besides let Putin take over Ukraine and dismantle NATO, what is Trump and your position?
Comments: Shahin. What is Harris' position on what needs to be done in Ukraine? Forget about how but at least he said one thing "I will end it". What is Harris' position. I make a disclaimer, Harris has no position, I do know though what Neocons position is. About coverage on Neocons, you do not hear it on Mainstream. But a lot is covered on podcasts. In a campaign trail it is really difficult to discuss neocons and who they are and all that. Because it does not bring votes. The neocon discussion is mostly for people who are in politics a bit deeper. You can't go to a Wisconsin rally and talk neocons. Could become confusing and could derail things. Like an average Joe in a Republican state may say .. "wait a minute they are Republican too?, they must be good then". It is that simple. In contrast I don't think we will hear much bashing of Tulsi or RFK Jr by democrats. Because liberal democrats may not like it and it may backfire against them. Politics 101.
Comments: Farzad: I watch and read a lot of election coverage (including non-liberal stuff) and I see Neocon discussion here at least 10 times more than anywhere else. The issue is that your candidate and his side rarely discuss it and rather discuss culture clash issues because that is low hanging fruit for the base. I still have not heard a coherent discussion as what needs to be done in Ukraine and Israel from Trump beside the day I am elected, Putin and Bibi will make peace because I will tell them to
Comments: What I am actually thrilled about is that the term "Neocon" has actually became an everyday term in various mediums. Some really did not what it was. Who they were.
Comments: KAmkAr... there are good Democrats... and there are good Republicans... As I said before it is both parties that made USA what it became. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Except that in the past 25 years things just went a different direction. With the enforcement of globalism we became very divided. It takes the goods of both parties to put United States back on track.
Comments: Again. You have the same think tanks offering the same type of suggestions strategies and resources to their candidate from their party. It is not a dictation. It is like... on a particular subject Harris may say.. hmmm.. not a bad idea.... let's hear more... . Or...about another subject the reaction maybe .... are you out of your mind... WTF is this ? happens to both parties. Neocons though are not just a think tank. They are embedded in the state department.
Comments: Farzad, there are no liberals in the US. In the US, the Democrats are conservative and the Republican are lunatics!
Comments: Average Z as opposed to average Joe. 😀 Love to see what you just wrote about Harris. Kick those mother fuckers out.
Comments: What is an average Z? ![]() Harris will kick all these Neocons out when she gets elected just like Trump will kick out all these right wingers
Comments: About Project 2025, this is what Trump said: “I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it,” he said. “I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.” And this is what project 2025 said :
Comments: Shahin, you know your politics you are not an average Z 😊 There are list of think tanks for both parties and also for non partisans. Some are listed below. When a new president is elected, there is somewhere between 7000 to 10,000 people get hired. These think tanks in addition to suggesting / providing resources, provide strategies. They are all at work right now for the upcoming new president. Here are top 10 for each Liberal/Progressive Think Tanks: 1. Center for American Progress (CAP) 2. Brookings Institution 3. Urban Institute 4. Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) 5. Economic Policy Institute (EPI) 6. The Century Foundation 7. Demos 8. American Progress Action Fund 9. The Roosevelt Institute 10. Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) Conservative Think Tanks: 1. Heritage Foundation 2. American Enterprise Institute (AEI) 3. Cato Institute 4. Hoover Institution 5. Manhattan Institute 6. Hudson Institute 7. Family Research Council (FRC) 8. American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) 9. The Federalist Society 10. Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS)
Comments: This is interesting. DNC authorities trying to keep Kennedy on the presidential ballot in swing states, despite his request to be removed 😊 they want to keep him on the ballot even though he asked he wants to be removed. 😊 Yet DNC made an attempt to oust independent candidate Cornel West. A move by Democratic elections commissioners to keep Green Party candidate Jill Stein off the ballot also failed. Republican members of the commission in Wisconsin pushed to grant Kennedy his wish to no longer be on the ballot after he suspended his campaign last week and endorsed Trump. The commission was deadlocked under opposition from Democrats
