Comments: Some people call me a “liberal,” others a “conservative,” others an “independent.” I don’t find these labels useful, but if I had to label myself, I’d say I am a classical liberal. Classical liberals stand for health and human rights, the environment, peace, transparency, and the Constitution. We believe in open, civil debate, and that elected officials should represent ALL Americans, not just their own party. I don’t care what you call me. These are the values I believe in. I have about six months left to make sure Americans know what I believe and that there is a third option come Election Day. As an independent candidate, I’ve alienated all the largest corporate donors – so I’m relying on small contributions from people like you.
Comments: I am a bit disappointed at Bernie. If you recall I voted Bernie, when the race was between Hillary and Trump. Even though leading Hillary, he quit and endorsed her under heavy pressure by Obama. He kind of did it again in 2020, was doing well, but quit and endorsed Biden. In 2024, He is endorsing Biden, even though he 100% disagrees with Biden's Israeli policy. The root of the Israel - Hamas conflict is not Israel. It is the Republican Warmonger Neocon Infilterated adminstration of Biden that provided the landsape for the Warmonger Republicans known as "Lincoln Project". So, when I hear people like Bernie and focus on what they always say, I can conclude that they just always "say' to attract voters, but behind the scene and in reality once the have the right number of votes for the party they give their "ok" nod and business as usual. I did get burned by Bernie. Twice. It was just a show. This Tulsi Gabbard, Bernie's designated Vice president in 2016 run. She left the democratic party. Bernie still loyal to the party even as an independent.

Comments: College years for many are years education. Experiencing and participating in social movements is part of that education. I go by don’t let the school be on the way of your education! The example that you relayed shahin, is typical of what nerds and finance people share. I have also heard from those that attributed some of their growth by being part of anti war movements, early 80s intervention in Central America, Us Iraq wars,…. Anti Vietnam war movement got mix with the hippie movement which was a rebellion to the values of 50s. Anti war student movements have a long history in this country due to US being engaged in so many wars. Many social freedoms that different sectors enjoys, civil rights movements, voting rights for women, fairer labor laws, were result of various struggles that can find their roots in what started in early 20th century, initially starting as students protesting US participation to the First World War, later joined by labor groups. Your doctor friend may not see much coming out of his protest, but can he claim that the movement didn’t affect any social/ political or even economic changes?
Comments: He said majority of them wanted a peaceful movement but were influenced by radicals that were not even students. He said that later in life you realize you cannot understand what a Palestinian kid is going through same with a jewish person scarred from the events of holocaust. He felt bad that he did all that protest without understanding the full picture of a complex situation |
