There are examples of this with Etemady, Khonsari and even his wife. Again, my question is this, how can people like her can have phone converstation with Angelina Joli from Evin but others are getting executed for a crime at a lesser degree? Could be many reasons, including enticing “ suspicion “ amongst opposition. That was my general opposition. Monarchists became greedy too soon. I don’t know against RP will or with his consent. But their actions trying to have the sole ownership of opposition in contradictory to what RP had repeatedly mentioned in his speeches previously regarding democratic principles. All I am questioning is that Ali Karimi's death sentence is out there or that wrestler Farid Afkari, whom zamin o zaman asked for him not to get executed, when I see hundreds of youngsters still being executed since Zan Zendegi Azadi movement, and then here a ringleader of the movement can have a phone conversation with Angelina Joli, I have to question it. Something does not look right. And if no one else questions how a prisoner whose sentence is potentially death sentence can get away with a phone call from Evin with Angela Joli, If ordinary people like you and I do not wonder or do not question it, then we have to question our inteligence. Assigning the blame, is a lot more complicated process that you described. You need to consider different parameters, including cause and effect. What was the reason that 80-90 percent of 40 million plus nation decided to commit a mass suicide? Bringing Sabeti on TV in an attempt to rewrite history, is not going to change historical facts and memories. For some maybe but not others. Once hardcore monarchists realize that they need to accept the reality and the fact there are actually different ideas and thoughts that need to be respected, opposition unity will be more achievable. The calls for united opposition front that echoed last year during Mahsa uprising, was not the first time heard and attempted since IRI take over. Mujahedin in early 80s formed “National council of resistance “ asked groups, liberals, communists, nationalists, etc to join them But with the same mentality as we witnessed from monarchists last year: You guys come and join for credibility and superficial reasons, but we are the boss! We make policies, decisions, etc…. Because we are more “ popular “ and have numbers! Needless to say, a failure in all accounts! Likes of Narges Mohammadi were not even old enough at the time of revolution to understand what was happening then. They grew up in the system that was imposed on them, and rebelled against it. Comments: With all craziness going on in the world and back home, this morning one of the top videos of khabaronline ( since removed) was a scuffle that happened between a tow truck driver and someone that his car was being towed, you guessed it , somewhere in US! Surprised that presstv football pages since 1996 didn’t have that on! This over shadowed the news of another person who died in the custody of police in Tehran Vozara station . While initial reports suggested another Hejab issue, but police had come out with different contradictory stories, calling the victim as “ Arazel o Obash” . In one denial statement they mention that the victim died en route to hospital, the other one suggests that the victim passed away in the station. They can’t even get their statements straight!
