Comments: Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday.
Comments: Nicely put Cyruss
Comments: Cyruss I just saw your message. We went straight to Shamshiri since I knew the place from before. Thank you for the recommendation.
Comments: Kamkar, if you are going to WW , Atari offers good array of “ Iranian “ sandwiches
Comments: Kamkar, I have misplaced your contact information. Would you please contact me, if you still have my info or get my information from shahin/farzad . We can meet up near Pasadena on Sunday if you like!
Comments: Lol at 90's comment. Had no ideas. I thought the Persian square will be unbeatable. Yes I know most of those in orange county. I was in Raffis once before. They have great food. The one I want to see is the house of kaBab in Reseda just because of that 180 Benz:) I'm here with my son. I'd love to meet with you. We're staying in Pasadena.
Comments: Kamkar, welcome! Westwood is so 90s ! Farzad is the In house expert on food matters! Have not been to WW in a long time, but typical places like Javan, Shamshiri,…. I heard someone talk about cafe vanak, never been there In Orange County, Darya and Caspian are supposed to be good And in Glendale, Raffiis, if you can stomach 2 hr wait on weekends! Do you have a car? How long you are here for? If you are here by Sunday, I can meet you for lunch at any place you want Or Farzad and mine favorite in Glendale, nersses!
Comments: Saeed Seeking out different perspectives and implementing shared thinking has hardly been an Iranian trait! Trying to make sense of current issues of two IFPs without consideration of the last 25 years is pointless. Discussion boards by essence are not that different from پاتوق coffee shops and clubhouses. A gathering place of some community members to form community of their own community around common interests. For a long time football served that common interest, and it helped for IFP stay intact as majority of members rooted for the same team and renewed their nostalgic memories. As political repression in the country became more widespread and illusions started fading away for those who were still willing to give a chance for “ improvement “ , polarization of the commune started to grow as it did in the motherland. Political loyalties or feelings of membership community became more obvious and transparent The boiling point was during the green movement when tens if not hundreds of martyrs were labeled agents of outsiders, including زنده ياد ندا آقا سلطان. When the admin of the time accused those killed to be performing for BBC and the movement being instigated by Mujahedin, coexistence was no longer an option. His desire to control minds and thoughts, freaking out at the fact that “ his site” was being banned by his beloved revolutionary government and almost every single action he took or notes he posted was demonstrative of his leaning towards the government that was and kept on killing our youth, repressing lives. Hence the split! We are all individuals with different perspectives and almost none of us a major player in the world of politics. Being tolerant of ideas, specially by a moderator, takes a strong discipline and conviction. I’m glad that I see some of it here. It is probably obvious that I have my points common beliefs with the current members as well as major ideological differences. But at least the distinction of خودى " regulars” vs غير خودى doesn’t apply here. The only reason that you see more of a unison voice over there is because نصفشون خودشونن and the fact the IRI troll is playing with them and steering them to a certain direction. Also unfortunately the only potentially progressive person over there, has decided that the 25 year old hatred towards couple of members here and his loyalty to his “ virtual cousin “, trump his value and bring out his bully side. Yes, we are drifting in unity as is our society back home. Call it جبر زمانه،, if you will Bottom line, we are not political parties. More like coffee shops with about total of less than 10 tea drinkers! Personally, I would feel embarrassed and uncomfortable to be in a coffeehouse with a barista with the history of support for tyrants!
Comments: Haven't been in Westwood for sometime now. Which chelokababi do you LA boys recommend?
Comments: Speaking of Captain Shojaii, he will be coaching against his former Greek coach as well as his former teammate as Osasuna ( Tores). , when havadar plays Gol Gohar
Comments: Saeed:
We all knew that the other site has pro IRI leaning people. Zinsky started reposting here and we had few robust debates about retirement, Iran politics, etc.. Just like normal online debates we picked on some of his hypocrisy and he did not like it so he left. The hypocrisy we called him on was more about being Amrika setiz for variety of reasons. After this, the guys on that site started piling it on as Zinsky joined them as well. This was even before Oct 7th and one of the guys indicated that we are selling our wife & daughters to US & Israel which did not sit well with me because I knew these guys living here are hypocrites. After Oct 7th it became evident that the same guy has a US security clearance working for a company that provides sensitive equipment to US & Israel. By the way, this was confirmed in the post today by Rashti. In the line below he is indicating that we said this ۶. چرا به کسی که سکوریتی کلیرنس داره حق انتقاد میدن؟ اصلا حق رای هم نباید داشته با Obviously I have no issues with security clearance but it really bothered me that this is the same guy who made the prostituting my wife & daughter comment to US & Israel. BTW, none of those guys have any issues with this but after Oct 7th everyday posted messages as if we are the ones killing people of Gaza Anyway, I just wanted to give you my point of view.
Comments: It makes sense for his long term plan after football. He sure does not want his kids to grow up in Iran. I wonder if Kia, Hashemian, Nekounam and Shojaie got their non-Iranian citizenship. I am positive Ansarifard has it
Comments: Agha Saeed, we're all old timers here :) So, you mean we're regressing in terms of not getting along? I feel the problem is always with those who want to impose their نهی از منکر
Comments: Likewise Shahin. I just barely found out that Shahram Nazeri is having a concert this weekend in Houston. He's one performer that I've wanted to see for a long time. My luck I'm about to board the plane for a Kurdish concert in Irvine. If it wasn't for all the planning and expenses, I would have cancelled the trip. But like they say, Nimodo!
Comments: I am an old timer that do not post anymore, and seldom read this site. Part of the reason I stopped posting was loss of interest in Iran football (Club or national team). I am following how Iran is self destructing herself. A country with so much potential. Nothing can prevent it with so much stupidity. I still like to hear posts by Farzad, Shahin, Kamkar and Cyrus. Unfortunately, there are not that many posters and most posts is about fueds with the other site which I only know of its admin. I recall, in the old time, not all agreed about everything, but still it was a healthy discussions except 1 or 2 posters. The main lesson is not to make it personal.
Comments: Kamkar: Good to have you around here as a friend. Hope to see you soon
Comments: Shahin, it's been a very long time I've not visited Oonyeki. To read and post on both (way back 3) pages had turned into a addiction for me. Well, my dear friend Tourang's page closed down. I kept on going to the two remaining. To be honest for a short period of time I stopped writing here. I was still reading. and I just posted on Oonyeki. It was pre Mahsa movement when someone (Maybe Shahryar) posted some article about some Iranian women scientists achievement. I gave them a kudos and added, "if they were only allowed to attend the stadiums". Hell broke loose. I didn't expect a reaction like that. The poster and the admin guy went berserk and then the filthy mouth got into it. I kinda thought ok, time to leave these lovers alone and not post. But I still was reading until things got really toxic and I stopped all together. But thanks to your recent chronicles I'm getting updated. Wow, waiting in the airport just made me write my IFP memoir:)

Comments: So apparently Iran shut down its airspace yesterday and was Twitted by Mehr News but then all of a sudden it was removed and now being denied that it was posted. Could it be they were planning something but aborted. ▫️

Comments: USA TODAY Mike Johnson and Donald Trump will propose bill to prevent non-citizens from voting This reminded me of a statement that a pro IRI that is now عقل كل elsewhere, pretending to be a thinker, made few years back at IFP Regarding political opinions and voting in Iran In response to “ masoud” an old timer: If you are not paying taxes in Iran, you shouldn’t be able to vote nor discuss Iran related politics :) Efing elephant memory on junk! Why couldn’t I remember a chemistry formula instead of all this trash!

Comments: Gonde gooz keeps asking people to ignore people like us and he never visits this site so it must be his 6th sense when he shows reaction to the posts here. Holakoui made an appearance today but I have seen that before as my mom shared it with me from her Whatsapp group called "Widows of the 1930's"

Comments: Farzad: I think Nekounam has learned from CQ to always create tension to motivate his players. The issue here is that CQ was an outsider that really did not need this job and had other jobs and with more money lined up for him as NN is an insider and has to worry about his future

Comments: Anyways. What is it with Nekoonam. Why is he loosing it. I am also hearing that this Khatir guy is a decent guy.
Comments: 😂😂😂😂 Always graded himself the highest. Used to come up with a category of people one through 5. One being good and 5 bad. And he was always one or two 😊 ▫️
Shall we stay up late to read the chronicle tonight?
Comments: A typical behavior that can only be described as pimp behavior is when you accuse others selling their wives & daughters to America and Israel and at the same time you have security clearance in providing the same US & Israel equipment to use against Iran and other nations. Any reference made to this also gets deleted. Gonde gooz does not give a shit about this because he is so nice
Comments: What a gonde goozi over there. Sure go ahead and ignore the elephant in the room. The issue is pimp behavior over there in support of the mullah regime
Comments: This is one of the kotlets in the consulate. Iranian youngsters should be very happy.

Comments: This notion of “If Iran attacks Israel from its own soil, Israel will attack Iran in Iran”. What does it mean? Which means Iran may not do either. Or throw a middle short of Israel and all it a victory.
