Again, my question is this, how can people like her can have phone converstation with Angelina Joli from Evin but others are getting executed for a crime at a lesser degree? Again Dr. Djalali has not been able to have contacts with the family. Ali Karimi got death sentence. Again, the stuff you say about these fanatic monarchists I agree. But what does that have to do with Nargess and Nasrin and how they can get away with having a phone converstaion with Angelina Joli in Evin. Still mind buggling for me, and I cannot go past that if the rationale is not explained to me. How can it be that they are able to give bayanieh out or send a note to their bases from Evin prison while over 700 hundred youngsters executed since Zan Zendegi Azadi movement. If i get this explained right, then I take the next steps. That is my question.

I’m not commenting on the phone call of Angelina, mainly because I don’t know the facts. But I do know that IRI amniati system plays games like that. Could be many reasons, including enticing “ suspicion “ amongst opposition. That was my general opposition. Monarchists became greedy too soon. I don’t know against RP will or with his consent. But their actions trying to have the sole ownership of opposition in contradictory to what RP had repeatedly mentioned in his speeches previously regarding democratic principles. What exactly is there to be gained by constantly trying to discredit and alienate likes of hamed esmalion, Narges Mohammadi, etc…… Don’t they represent a group, even if small, and trend of thought within society?

Comments: Cyrus, I do not understand Mohammadi and RP connection. Yes I do know that opposition cannot get united. Even in 57 we wittnessed it. Did not understand the monarchist relation here as I do not follw them except watching youtube of an interview or something. . All I am questioning is that Ali Karimi's death sentence is out there or that wrestler Farid Afkari, whom zamin o zaman asked for him not to get executed, when I see hundreds of youngsters still being executed since Zan Zendegi Azadi movement, and then here a ringleader of the movement can have a phone conversation with Angelina Joli, I have to question it. Something does not look right. And if no one else questions how a prisoner whose sentence is potentially death sentence can get away with a phone call from Evin with Angela Joli, If ordinary people like you and I do not wonder or do not question it, then we have to question our inteligence. Sharmahd, Dr Djalali of Sweden cannot even have contacts with family members. Angelina Joli??!! The video I posted below is a guy from streets of Tehran.

Nothing has happened yet in terms of change, but rather than going for unity and forming coalition, they started cleansing of the opposition process! Assigning the blame, is a lot more complicated process that you described. You need to consider different parameters, including cause and effect. What was the reason that 80-90 percent of 40 million plus nation decided to commit a mass suicide? Bringing Sabeti on TV in an attempt to rewrite history, is not going to change historical facts and memories. For some maybe but not others. Once hardcore monarchists realize that they need to accept the reality and the fact there are actually different ideas and thoughts that need to be respected, opposition unity will be more achievable. The calls for united opposition front that echoed last year during Mahsa uprising, was not the first time heard and attempted since IRI take over. Mujahedin in early 80s formed “National council of resistance “ asked groups, liberals, communists, nationalists, etc to join them But with the same mentality as we witnessed from monarchists last year: You guys come and join for credibility and superficial reasons, but we are the boss! We make policies, decisions, etc…. Because we are more “ popular “ and have numbers! Needless to say, a failure in all accounts! Likes of Narges Mohammadi were not even old enough at the time of revolution to understand what was happening then. They grew up in the system that was imposed on them, and rebelled against it. And paid a big personal price in their personal life. What price other than losing a privileged life in Iran and substituting it with one abroad have RP strategists have paid?
