Comments: Exactly Saeid. As I said it was never about tariffs. It was about trade balance and removal of trade barriers. And there was never free trade agreement between USA and China. So again the goal is 1) trade balance or avoid trade deficit (You buy the same amount we buy from you and no longer you buy 1/5 of we buy from you) and 2) get rid of all your trade barriers and regulations so that we can achieve (1) and ultimately the free trade you alluded to. Enjoy the prosperity. And it has not even been 4 months yet.
Comments: Farzad: On tariffs, the plain language is " china fucked Trump admin". mainly because, they knew they had the winning card, and US could not resist their stupid policy for long. There are several reason behind it. For one, China owns lots of US deficit. Second, they knew US can not manufacture. They saw it as a comedy. Third is their rare material ownership. Fourth is number of American companies doing business in china; Mcdonald, star buck, Apple, and on on. Very little chineeze companies operating in US. There are so many reasons that such policy would have ended in disaster for US in a big way, if continued. That is why even people with small brain could see the red flag. The talk about deficit is simply "CRAP". Tariffs would have made it much worse. Some damage has already been inflicted, and you will the result when numbers come out. I can only guarantee something. Anything coming out of this admin is not helping anyone, it may help him and his family fortune. That is all, please stop dreaming.
