Comments: I might be too simple minded but don’t get this! “I challenge you every day for a week, to come up what is great about the life you are living in Boston. I know you could do more if you lived in San Diego but I know the weather is nice now and you can come up with one every day for 7 days”! What does it mean? Why would anyone come up with a reason about where they live? Why do I need to compare Boston to San Diego? Does it always have to be a comparison? Do we need a popular opinion on where is the best place for everyone? Most people live somewhere either by choice or necessity. If there are no choices, that is what it is. If they choose the place, they shouldn’t defend their choice. Not everyone like the same stuff. That should be ok with the rest.
Comments: This is typical of us. We start a conversation about places we like to live or retire and before you know it we are fighting over which is better. It’s not a question of better or worse, it’s just what someone wants/likes/prefers. I have lived in America for nearly 40 years. I spent the 1st 15 years in east coast (DC and Manhattan) then CA and now back to Boston. I always preferred east coast. I know for Iranians in CA that makes no sense and I’m good with that. East coast has a different lifestyle that suits me more. That doesn’t mean it’s better for everyone, just me. My kids came here to study and fell in love with the place and I always preferred being closer to my kids! That is it. No disrespect to West coast or anything like that. I have no regrets about coming and living in America. I went to school, got a degree, married, had kids and built a life here. I do think it’s going the wrong way in many aspects but that is just my personal opinion. I really don’t think my 20 year old self could survive coming here today and do what I did 40 years ago as an immigrant with zero support. Some can for sure. People are just too attached to where they live. They feel they need to pump it up and make sure everyone knows it’s the best place to be. Be it the country, the city or the neighborhood. I have traveled more than my share. I know what I like. At different stages of life different places/people become more desirable.
Comments: I think you'll be fine. Last time in Qatar you were off by 50%. You're good 😀
Comments: Thanks. Yes Santa Barbara is it. Right now I crunched the numbers and it is not working out but someday it will
Comments: Shahin Here you go. This is your retirement place.
Comments: Fedemastro • 7 hr. ago Basically Porto lowered their asking price so we could close for 15m but then they bringed in agents that are close to them, their modus operandi is they take a comission and then share It with porto. At the end we had to pay Mendes, taremi's agent and that phino guy Who Is connected to porto( in this way the would have at least partially earned back the 30 milions they originally asked) fdsprocrl • 6 hr. ago Porto fan: I'm sorry for the behavior of our board. We're all against this way of doing business. "And then share it with Porto"... I wish they would, the problem is that our board and these agents are very close and work together to steal money from the club. Taremi would have been a very much needed sale for us, and a pretty decent signing for you Thank you guys (Italian press and fans) for unveiling this "mafia" We believe that this was a show put up by our board so they could say "it's not our fault that the player left on a free, we accepted the deal" which is enough to convince the fans (there is an election in 2024). And then send one of these agents to keep Taremi in so our manager doesn't get furious. JagerJack7 • 6 hr. ago As I said in the other comment, someone really just didn't want the deal to go through. Because when there is intention from both sides, agreement can always be found.
Comments: Shahin, I noticed that but I've always believed in the famous Farsi Proverb that goes like جواب ابلهان خاموشی ست
Comments: What does this mean. Like there was an agreement and then they had additional demands? Ok I am watching what this guy says. The Rossoneri management simply cannot currently accept the conditions posed by the new entourage chosen by the player, who in an unprofessional manner changed the terms of the agreement before the deal closed. The negotiation can only be unblocked and get back on the right track with a strong reduction in these new economic requests (salary and commissions).

Comments: Shahin. Of course they are tasty. And that bacteria may not be as dangerous. But not allowed here. I remember when I was eating too much pesteh my mom kept telling me بسه دیگه حصبه میگیری. Anyways they detect aflatoxins by inspecting each one under UV light.
Comments: Shahin. As I said there are mariz immigrants who just don't like America but live here and collect paycheck. With that Amrika setizi in their DNA they do everything possible to do their share of hurting the system here. Sure there are Americans who do these kind of things too. I was only trying to explain the mindset of Amrika setizs.
Comments: So my son loves the sour pistachios my relatives bring from Iran. Is it cool to suck on those and eat them? |
