Actually If it is for any political reasons majority of Iranians should be rooting against IRI because of brutality against own people. We did not do it in Qatar. Those who did were not real fans. Fans in general do a good job of separating the two. We all should. There is history on all countries from Portuguese to Spanish to French to Dutch to Germans to Vikings of Sweden to Belgique who were involved in some form expansionism. Comments: Cyruss, I think it's natural for Mexicans to have some sort of admirations for half of their own DNA. They got the language, and the religion from the Spaniards and later they made it of their own with a different twist. It's kinda different with what happened in our case with the Arabs.

Comments: Shahin, you should have a pretty good idea on how an average Mexican felt about the Spaniards winning the title. For most part they wanted them to win. Just yesterday my wife and I ran into a young Mexican couple in San Antonio eating Koobideh in an Iranian restaurant. They both were wearing Spain's team jersey. In Catalonia and the Basque regions things are different.
