Comments: Yes dusty
Comments: The family also loved Ahmadinejad since he was very khaki Literally.
Comments: I sure can and have before but one more time won’t hurt. We know the effects of sanctions and they are obviously painful for most people. I know, I know, it’s not sanctions but the regime. I agree. No argument there but sanctions are also giving the government an excuse to do even worse. We don’t know the effect of “no sanctions at all”! We tried it here and there in Iran. Giving them few months here, few months there but never let it run long enough to make an assessment. It could turn out to be a disaster. It could make things worse. It could blow up in our face but we really don’t know, do we? I know you will bring up few billions released to them and most, if not all was stolen. That is true. I agree. My point on sanctions (relief) is to just lift it (don’t pay them cash). Give it a year or two. What is the worst that could happen in 2 years that hasn’t happened in 40? I don’t know if no sanctions could help people. I really don’t but not even considering it is what I find odd. If someone with a crystal ball comes along and tells me the future is even more bleak without sanctions, I would withdraw my statement. Finally, the USA has been using the sanctions not to get Iranians any relief. As you mentioned, it’s a way to control behavior of the regime. They always have an excuse to loosen the sanctions when needed! What’s the point? What benefit have we seen so far for Iran or Iranians?
Comments: Yep like a cult. Leipzic beats BM 3-0. Hat trick by Dani Olmo. Kane did not do much but the Korean defender played 15 minutes and he is impressive
Comments: Yeah shahin. I know many sick Iranians in college who forced their American wife to wear hijab.
Comments: The family also loved Ahmadinejad since he was very khaki
Comments: I have been to the islamic Center in Oakland twice. For two wakes, the son & the father of the same family. Abdolkarim Soroush was talking in one of the rooms at the same time. Interesting that this family was religious, forced their daughter wear hijab. Made her marry into another religious but rich family. Had couple of kids quickly and. then got a divorce. Immediately removed the hijab and last saw her at Leila Forouhar concert
Comments: Zinsky can you comment on my post about your insistence on lifting the sanctions.
Comments: Islamic central in San Diego? Never! I don’t want to be blacklisted!!! Kidding, kidding, don’t lose your shirt. Seriously, I don’t think I have been to any Islamic center in my life. I went to my father’s funeral that was held in a masjed but that is probably the only Islamic anything I attended. Why do you ask? I also agree with your list of people supporting this regime. Unfortunately, the last group (religious groups) are too hard to turn. The other two groups will move on when shit hits the fan. With less financial benefits, they will find another groups to steal from. Religion is however, not easy to let go for many even though they are shrinking as well with younger generations.
Comments: Nice performance https://youtu.be/8e2fJfiddx4
Comments: Kane is in
Comments: I'm enjoying reading the back and forth discussion going on. It's like thrilla in Manila. But civil, friendly, and educational. Nice going.
Comments: Zinsky. Have you ever visited the Islamic Center in San Diego?
Comments: Forget the sanctions not being effective. Your insistence on lifting the sanctions knowing that time and time they proved that none of that goes to ordinary poor people is mind bugging. Your insistence on lifting the sanctions knowing that almost all of it or lets say majority of it is going to these gharatgars and dozd is still very questionable. Even your 20% people and 80% gharatgars idea is sick. Why do you insist on these dozds taking in more? I just don't get it.
Comments: I look at within my own circle of acquaintances and distant relatives I basically see 3 groups that are still holding on to supporting the regime and status quo: 1. Group that are raking it in via corrupt business practices like fixing government bids and manipulating the market and sharing the money with the officials 2. Families that have been given shahid to this in Iraq war and financially or generally benefiting like their kids getting into Universities 3. People that are religious for example still forcing their daughters & wives wear hijab, still go to Friday prayers etc |
