Comments: Sanctions mostly affected people that want to take money out of the country. For example, my aunt because of the situation back home to create a future for her kids decided to immigrate to US but no longer makes sense to sell her property and buy one here. Also have friends that started building apartments and now due to rise in dollar are very nervous. Ordinary people lives gets worse day by day with or without sanctions
Comments: Shahin, You are right! I didn’t say that but you are semi correct as well saying that the sanctions made Russia and IRI even closer. Sanctions are hurting the majority of the population and helping the small groups make deals with bad actors. These people have found Russia and China and even some smaller countries to help them make deals that benefit them but hurt the people. We can go back and forth trying to justify which country would be better for IRI and for the people of Iran. I do agree if we HAVE to choose, America is a better choice for people but not by much. Also, America doesn’t really want to. You can argue why America is where it is regarding IRI but it doesn’t matter. It is what it is! I was hoping that the nuclear deal made in 2015 would be the start of better relationship with the West and less with the East but what do I know. This is not me saying America bad, Russia good. Some would see it that way. I can’t change minds. Let’s just say, I don’t believe all this is happening in a vacuum. International diplomacy is much more complicated than I can understand.
