Comments: This is the issue! The Neocons are on boardThe Democratic Party is not what it used to be. Donald Trump’s rise to power in the US in 2016 was accompanied by a mass exodus of neoconservatives from the Republican Party. William Kristol, Max Boot, David Frum, Rick Wilson, Jennifer Rubin suddenly became Democrats, accusing Trump of betraying the ideals of democracy. This convergence started during the Obama years, when Max Boot wrote that Hillary Clinton was a “powerful” voice “for ‘neoliberalism’ which is not so different in many respects from ‘neoconservativism.'” Figures on Biden’s foreign policy team like future Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the national security adviser Jake Sullivan, or Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines awere notorious interventionists. However, Trump’s rise to power was a turning point when neocons began to declare their disillusionment with Republicans en masse. Consequently, their influence in the Democratic Party and its affiliated media increased, where neocons like Max Boot became the leading experts on foreign affairs. Nearly 300 former Bush officials endorsedJoe Biden in 2020. Briefly, the doctrine of these people can be formulated as follows: the US should actively interfere in the politics of other countries, remove unwanted regimes, promote liberal democracy with all its might, ensure its planetary hegemony by all possible means and fight against countries that challenge the value and military hegemony of the West: China, Russia and smaller countries like Turkey or even Hungary, where sovereign and “authoritarian” tendencies are too strong. And of course, Israel must be guarded at all costs.

Comments: Generally speaking, It is very difficult to beat an incumbant. Ironically his father RFK was running against an incumbant (VP Humphery, when president Johnson decided not to run), but after winning the california primary big and taking the lead, he got assasinated.
For RFK Jr to have a chance, running as a Democrat is not going to help him, as the incumbant has it in the bag, even Carter did. And even if he is close in primaries, DNC has the reserved Superdelegates and will throw it at Biden. Now if he runs as an independent (a 3 way race), then he will get lots of votes across the board but may still not be enough to win any states. That happend to Ross Perot in 92 election running with Bill Clinton and GHB. He actually got near 20% of the popular votes but not one single EV. But.... he can hurt the incumbant as an independent. Ross Perot running as an independent did hurt GHB in 92. With Perot being Republican in nature, he took away many Republican votes (near 20 million) from GHB. Had he not run, GHB would have gotten most of those votes and could have won the 92 election against Bill Clinton. Perot spoiled it for GHB. Now by the same token, if RFK Jr runs as an independent, by virtue of being a Democrat, an iconic Democrat, and a Kennedy brand, he can spoil it for Biden and take many of the democratic votes away from Biden. So, in a nutshell, no he does not have a chance, but can certainly hurt Biden if he runs as an independent. In 2000, Neocon Republicans did everything to get GWB in. That election was close (the hanging chad election) but Neocon Republican muscled their way in and forced themselves to the White House with the Supreme Court ruling, after 8 years of succesful presidency by Bill Clinton. With Neocon Republicans now on Biden's side I think that muscle is even stronger to get Biden in. So in summary for Biden to win, Trump (strong base) and RFK Jr (a Democrat taking votes away from Biden) should not be in the running and that paves the way easily for Biden. And that is why we are seeing that the push from DNC and Neocon Republicans is strong to make sure Trump and RFK Jr are not in play. With those two not running, it will be a slam dunk for Biden.
Comments: Unfortunately, the two parties have full control of the system. Without their support, no candidate can get enough support to win a presidential election. Running as a 3rd party candidate is just that. No explanation to win but just noticed.
Comments: Looks like Messi will play his first game tonight for Miami against Cruz Azul at 5 PM pacific
Comments: Zinsky: Fringe candidates often hurt the party two different ways. 1. They can dilute party votes in the general election if they run. I can see if RFK jr start polling hir, he may run as a 3rd party candidate and if he is even mildly successful, dems will lose. So dems are trying to nip it in the bud right now 2. Anybody running against a current president within the same party can expose the hypocrisy and weaknesses of the party and the president. This is actually can be true within Republican Party look at Chris Christie.
Comments: How popular is Kennedy? Based on the last survey I saw, he was holding in single digits. I was not too familiar with him and his views but watched few of his speeches/interviews lately. I’m not a fan but that’s me.

Comments: There used to be physical assassination of those who did not chose to “play“ and now we are witnessing character assassination of those. This actually reminds me of Hoveida’s summary trial where a prosecutor would not give a chance to him to defend himself. A very sad period in US. A very sad period. As soon as they see a threat and popularity by a candidate they want to kill it. ”you asked me a question, allow me to answer that question” It is these type of inappropriate behavior of the party members which is departing many of the Democratic base especially the millennials who are passionate about the party’s values. But I am hopeful, what’s inevitable is “change”, and one day we will put this period behind us.
Comments: When President Reagan said this below, I remember we the liberals used to laugh and make fun of this statement, that he is an illiterate and this SOB does not understand what fascism is, does not understand what Liberalism is. 40 years later we witness that there was a merit to what he said.

Comments: When the government is infested and infected with the hawkish fascist warmonger neocon republicans and their agenda, freedom of speech goes down to toilet. Anyone questions anything is a conspiracy theorist.
Comments: KAmkAr That is very fucking sad. Look at all the educated ministers and scholars of the previous regime and compare it to these be saro pa.
Comments: Shahin. Sticking to an absolute ideology and not willing to have انعطاف پذیری creates extremism. Although those radical RP fans are acting as extremists I am not so sure if they actually follow any sort of absolute ideologies. Just like millions of people in 57 these people are simply emotionally charged without understanding the broader landscape. They are essentially bunch of obash. . Unfortunately dualism is a reality. And you need imposing hoodwink ideologies which are absolute such as Marxism, WOKE'ism, shia'ism, or globalism, to create that division. History showed that promoting any of such deceiving ideologies in a society is grounds for further division and chaos. All of those ideology examples I mentioned, in theory are supposed to promote unity, Justice, and fairness but once you dig in you will find out that they are indeed tools for division. For example effect of globalism in Europe is so amplified. By magnitudes higher than US. Forced and instigated migration through creation of wars (ex: Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan) has transformed cultural transmission into transmission of racial bias. The typical liberal social democrat people of many liberal societies in Europe such as Sweden are now questioning all of that. What happened to our country? What happened to our identity? What happened to our culture? The original intent of globalism (opposite to the meaning of word) not only not creating unity and removal of boundaries, but instead it is manifesting the hidden intent of it. Nationalism which used to be a pride attribute and used to be the love and admiration for own culture has now racist annotation associated with it. Globalism was essentially a fight against nationalism, and with excessive migration there will be no dedication or passion for the country you live in. Just like many of people we both know who lived here for like 45 years and they simply have no affection of any sort for this country. Even in a football game say between USA and say Serbia.. they root for Serbia .. most of these people will root for any team playing against USA.
