Comments: Kamkar: Stock market has had corrections such as 2000 or " internet bust", 2008 (housing market bust), but these were reaction to events. In the case of internet bust, a lot of internet companies were priced far above their fundementals (values) and hence caused a major correction. In the case of housing bust also, due to de regulation, lots of people went way above their means to purchase home pushing prices go up crazy. But this time is different. Most of it is due to decisions made by crazy men. Elon Musk is firing government employee left and right. Tarrifs is one of the oldest methods usually used by bankrupt countries and virtually rejected by anyone familiar with the word " Economy". But we are not living in a normal country these days. In some way, it is worse than mullahs ruling Iran.
Comments: Saeed, I always hear that over long run the market corrects itself. Well maybe it was doing too good and there was no sign of slowing down and trump decided to correct it with his babbling.
Comments: Look at the damage after less than 2 month. Just imagine with that rate, what will happen in 4 years. More and more money will flee out of US, and future for US is indeed very bleak. Whoever lands as leader of the free world, will also attract many US high tech companies.

My prediction on market reaction is starting to jell. Most likely market will not settle for a while. Unfortunately, housing market also has already started, and god knows where it will land. Unemployment is starting to crank up, government first and private sector to follow. Tarrifs will also add to the fuel. Unfortunately, US is becoming more and more isolated around the world, so do expect any sympathy from them. In fact, I feel for the first time, US supremecy is coming to an end. This president does not look like the leader of a super power, certainly in does not behave like one. I do not know who will replace US as the leader of the free world. US is indeed on a very shaky ground. Time to think about finding a new home.
