So if you are a department store with 500 or more employees, you have to have a "gender neutral Toy" Department.

Toys? Why?

Ali P, looks like we will have to agree to disagree.  I asked ChatGPT about George McGovern.  As you can see the democratic platform has not changed all that much.  The leadership has expanded to include many more women and minorities.   The republicans have been trying to battle this stuff for 100 years.   And their leadership has not changed whatsoever.  They are still the good old boys and the KKK types.   Anyway, here is the McGovern platform:

During his 1972 U.S. presidential campaign, George McGovern, the Democratic nominee, ran on a platform of ending the Vietnam War, expanding social programs, and promoting economic justice. His key promises included:

  1. Immediate Withdrawal from Vietnam – McGovern pledged to end U.S. involvement in Vietnam within 90 days of taking office, bringing American troops home as quickly as possible.

  2. Universal Basic Income – He proposed a guaranteed minimum income for every American, ensuring a basic level of financial security.

  3. Major Defense Budget Cuts – He aimed to reduce military spending and redirect funds toward domestic programs.

  4. Healthcare Reform – He supported a national health insurance program to expand access to healthcare for all Americans.

  5. Tax Reform – He proposed raising taxes on the wealthy and corporations to fund social programs and reduce income inequality.

  6. Civil Rights & Social Justice – He strongly supported racial and gender equality, civil rights protections, and progressive social policies.

  7. Environmental Protections – McGovern advocated for stronger environmental regulations and investments in clean energy.

Despite these promises, McGovern's campaign struggled against Richard Nixon, who ran on a platform of law and order and appealing to the "Silent Majority." McGovern lost in a landslide, winning only Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. in the Electoral College.

I Never really thought much of Hussein family. They are the perfect puppet that the West loves. Obedient and cooperative and well-rewarded.
But on the good side, the Jordanian passport gets you five or six years of residency in the UK upon arrival in the airport? Their currency is 1.5 US Dollars even though the whole country is resourceless?

I think DNC is more outraged by the defectors. Democrats like Elon, RFK jr, Tulsi Gabbard, and a million or so others who voted democrats both in 2016 and 2020 and not in 2024 are the main targets.

I think you are echoing what Tulsi is saying here:

I have shitload of respect for King Abdullah of Jordan.  Him and his father have done a lot for the palestinian cause.

Just a note that, Originally King Hussain had his brother designated as his successor. But two weeks before his death, he switched it to his Son, Abdullah.

He is well respected and loved in Jordan.

Ali P: First let me dig more into this.  First, everybody talk about election and Trump revolution, as if the entire population voted for him.  Only less that 1% of popular vote against a very week opponents and all these monday morning quarter backing.  Al these reminds of Iran revolution, where group of people from different spectrum came together and they all wanted to build a heaven on earth.  They knew no barriers and fought the ruling system.  And see what happened? Now most are chanting for return of monarchy.  Establishment is there for a reason.  It made U.S, the greatest country in the world, freedom, prosperity and yet the strongest army and economy, perhaps ever in history of man kind.  Now some newcomers want to change things without knowing the reason, and what to replace it with.  Exactly like Iran 46 years ago.  You may want to wait and see the end product, but I can see what is coming.  There is nothing good coming out of this fiasco.  I believe " fuck Trump" movement is gaining more and more traction worldwide.

Not sure if anybody will click on the video that I just posted, but let me just leave this here, and that will be the end of my useless and fruitless contribution for the day.

The 2024 election was a movement against status quo.
People chose "chaos" and "shit-show" over our existing state of affairs.
A coalition of people from different backgrounds with different ideologies and political beliefs came together and voted, and their vote was a cry for help.

It is an "organic" movement, different from the existing "manufactured" climate created by the establishment, the security apparatus, and their bought-out mainstream media.

Do they all believe that Trump is the great savior? Hell no. But he is the only one who listened to their cries for help, or at least pretended to.
We shall see what happens.

Wishing everyone peace and prosperity, and as impossible as it sounds, maybe "unity" at some point.

Ever since Trump coming to power nothing else the American politicians say sounds so crazy anymore. Can you imagen if Clinton, Bushes, Obama, and Biden all combined said only half of what Trump has been saying and doing the past three weeks? Do things ever become normal again?

Ahmad-DC, I hope you are doing great as well.  No, by BS I meant spewing woke positions and advocating a defense of the role of the government in trampling free speech, sponsoring censorship, forcing mandates, creating division and hatred, and other unconstitutional services.
But to be fair, I decided to ignore the fact that Klein and Swisher are both NYT columnists, and the fact that they both supported the vaccine mandates and other unscientific and detrimental covid "mitigation" policies, and I started watching the podcast.

So this is how the podcast started (unless I got the wrong one!):
"How did he (Elon) go from conventional Obama-era liberal, worried about climate control and wanting to go to Mars, to Right-wing conspiratorial meme lord, working to elect the far-Right in Germany, and shred the federal government in the United States?  What led to this transition's evolution for Elon Musk?"

I was surprised he didn't show Elon's Nazi salute!!
Although my stomach started to turn, as I cannot stand the condescending, name-calling, superiority-complex of the left, I decided to keep watching.  And then Swisher comes on and the first thing she does is call Elon the "junk-yard dog"!!  :-))  Just to humor myself I did listen for 5 more minutes, but honestly I could not any more.

What you may regard as "progressive" values, the majority of the country views as something else.  I mean even freaking Fetterman figured it out!!

In a statement released in Arabic just after he left the White House, King Abdullah of Jordan said this, in-part, about his meeting and lunch with President Trump: “….I reaffirmed Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. This is the unified Arab position. Everyone’s priority should be the reconstruction of Gaza without displacing its people and addressing the difficult humanitarian situation in the Strip. A just peace based on a two-state solution is the only way to achieve stability in the region, and this requires the leading role of the United States. President Trump is a man of peace and played a pivotal role in reaching the ceasefire in Gaza. We look forward to the continued efforts of the United States and all parties to solidify the ceasefire….”
