Trump says he stopped Israel killing Khamenei, held off on removing Iran sanctions after Khamenei’s victory speech

US President Donald Trump claims he reversed plans to remove sanctions against Iran after the Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei gave a speech yesterday declaring that Trump had “exaggerated” the impact of strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, while threatening to repeat the “slap” Tehran had dealt American forces in the region.

“During the last few days, I was working on the possible removal of sanctions, and other things, which would have given a much better chance to Iran at a full, fast, and complete recovery,” Trump writes on Truth Social.

“But instead I get hit with a statement of anger, hatred, and disgust, and immediately dropped all work on sanction relief and more,” he adds, blasting Khamenei for his “blatant and foolish” statement.

“As a man of great faith, he is not supposed to lie,”
Trump says, reiterating his insistence that Iran’s nuclear sites were “obliterated” in the US strikes on Sunday.

Trump says he “knew exactly” where Khamenei was hiding during the war and didn’t let Israel or the US army kill him.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said yesterday that Israel didn’t kill Khamenei because it didn’t know where underground he was hiding.

“I saved him from a very ugly and ignominious death,”
Trump says, while also highlighting that he ordered Israel to turn planes around that were planning to strike Iran significantly in response to missile fire launched by Tehran after the ceasefire went into place.

“It was going to be the biggest attack of the war by far,” Trump says.

“Iran has to get back into the world order flow, or things will only get worse for them,” he warns.

“They are always so angry, hostile and unhappy, and look at what it has gotten them: A burned out, blown up country, with no future, a decimated military, a horrible economy and death all around them,” Trump continues.

“They have no hope, and it will only get worse! I wish the leadership of Iran would realize that you often get more with honey than you do with vinegar,” he adds.

Trump administration considers $30 b. civilian nuclear deal for Iran - report

The Trump administration has discussed offering Iran access to as much as $30 billion in foreign-backed investment to develop a civilian nuclear energy program, as part of a broader diplomatic push to reengage Tehran in nuclear negotiations, according to a CNN report citing multiple sources familiar with the talks.

The reported discussions, which include easing sanctions and unfreezing restricted Iranian funds, come amid ongoing efforts by Washington to reestablish indirect communication with Iran following a volatile two-week period marked by military strikes involving Israel, the US, and Iran.

Central to the American proposal is a non-negotiable condition: Iran must agree to cease all uranium enrichment. While Iran has repeatedly asserted its need to enrich uranium for peaceful energy purposes, Washington has floated the idea of Tehran importing enriched uranium—similar to the model employed by the United Arab Emirates.

Funding isn't from US, officials reportedly urging Arab Gulf states to cover the cost

According to the CNN report, a preliminary draft proposal being circulated among US officials includes up to $30 billion in investment for a new, non-enrichment nuclear program that would generate civilian energy. While the funding would not come directly from the United States, administration officials are reportedly urging Arab Gulf states to shoulder the cost.

Some of the terms were discussed during a closed-door meeting last Friday at the White House, led by US special envoy Steve Witkoff and attended by representatives from key Gulf states. The meeting took place one day before the US launched military strikes targeting Iranian nuclear infrastructure.

Inter star Taremi travelled 1,000km by car to escape bombing

Inter centre-forward Mehdi Taremi found himself trapped in Tehran during the bombing of Iran, so reportedly travelled 1,000km to reach safety.

The striker had gone home to visit family during the down time between the Champions League Final and the start of training for the FIFA Club World Cup.

However, in this brief pause, the Iran international was unable to leave Tehran due to the bombing from Israel and eventually the USA too.

It meant he had to miss the tournament, which curiously is being played in the United States of America, as the airspace around Iran was shut down.

Even with a ceasefire in place, there are still no tickets being sold for flights out of Iran, so Taremi had to travel by car.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he had to traverse over 1,000km on the road to reach Bushehr, the city where he was born and still has family there.

He remains in daily contact with Inter and spoke to new coach Cristian Chivu, reassuring his teammates and colleagues that he is safe.

Taremi had even been sticking to a personalised training regime to keep himself in shape, although his chances of making it out before pre-season are now extremely slim.

He might’ve played his last game for Inter anyway, with reports of approaches from Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Besiktas.

Israeli envoy: Israel set stage, only Iranians can deliver final act

After 12 days of war between Iran and Israel, the two sides have entered a ceasefire. But what does this ceasefire mean for Iran, Israel, and the United States? Is this the end of the conflict? What are the implications for the Iranian people, for Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, and for its regional proxies? Iran International's Fardad Farahzad puts these questions to the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel (Michael) Leiter.

Israeli right-wing activist moots bizarre theory on Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei: 'His speech mysteriously cancelled'

Amid reports that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is hiding in a bunker, a right-wing activist in Israel has mooted a bizarre theory about the Ayatollah, stating he has been killed in an Israeli airstrike.

Yair Ansbacher, who also claims to be a military expert, took to X on Tuesday to claim that Khamenei has been dead since last Thursday night, around 11:30 pm.

In its latest crackdown against illegal immigration, federal agents arrested 11 Iranian foreign nationals in 48 hours, including one watchlisted individual — part of a series of targeted operations spanning eight states and nine cities nationwide.

Among those arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement since Sunday, June 22, is Mehran Makari Saheli, at his home near St. Paul, Minnesota. ICE officials say Saheli is a former member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite branch of Iran's armed forces. They said the detainee has "admitted connections to Hezbollah," a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization backed by Iran.

Mehdi Taremi is under consideration by Nottingham Forest, as Inter is actively looking for a new club for him. Taremi is currently unable to participate in the Club World Cup in the United States because he is stuck in his homeland due to the war.

Taremi, who joined Inter last year on a free transfer from Porto, has a contract that expires in June 2027 with a net salary of 3 million euros per year. During his first season with Inter, Taremi scored 3 goals in 43 appearances.

In addition to Nottingham Forest, clubs such as Fulham, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas have also expressed interest in the Iranian forward.

Besiktas is particularly keen as they are looking for a replacement for Ciro Immobile, who might be returning to Serie A with Bologna.

Nottingham Forest Make Inquiry About Inter Milan & Iran Superstar

[fc-internazionale-v-genoa-cfc-serie-a-900x631]

Inter Milan flop Mehdi Taremi could continue his career in the Premier League after Nottingham Forest joined the race for the Iranian.

Per Matteo Moretto via FCInterNews, the Tricky Trees have inquired about the 32-year-old.

Mehdi Taremi joined Inter as one of Europe’s most lethal goalscorers last summer.

However, his form at the San Siro has been nowhere near his glory days at Porto.

Indeed, the Iran international only managed three goals in 43 appearances for the Nerazzurri in 2024/25.

After an underwhelming campaign, Inter could offload Taremi to the highest bidder.

Despite his lackluster season in Serie A, the aging striker still has a host of admirers across the continent.

Forest could be his next destination, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side vying for several players from Italy’s top flight.

In addition to Taremi, they’ve contacted Juventus for Tim Weah and Samuel Mbangula.

New Figures Reportedly Show Biden Let Thousands Of Iranians Into Homeland

Border Patrol agents reportedly released hundreds of Iranian nationals into the U.S. during President Joe Biden’s time in office, drawing national security concerns as military tensions escalate.

The Biden administration arrested 1,504 Iranian nationals during fiscal year 2021 through fiscal year 2024, releasing 729 of these individuals into the country, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data obtained. The newly released data follows U.S. military airstrikes against three Iranian nuclear facilities, sparking vows of retaliation from the Islamic regime.

A total of 12 Iranian nationals were released into the country in fiscal year 2021, 40 released in fiscal year 2022, 229 released in fiscal year 2023 and 448 released in fiscal year 2024, according to Fox News’s CBP data.

“The leading state sponsor of terrorism exploited the Biden administration’s weak border policies for 4 years,” Texas GOP Rep. August Pfluger said Sunday of the released Iranians. “Now, 729 Iranians with unknown terror connections are currently in our country, which [is one] of the largest national security vulnerabilities we have ever experienced.”

“We must act swiftly to find these individuals immediately,” Pfluger continued.

Israel Seeks to Wrap Up Fighting With Iran

JERUSALEM—Israel is looking to wrap up its war with Iran soon, Israeli and Arab officials said, capitalizing on the unprecedented U.S. attack on key Iranian nuclear sites to accelerate an end to the fighting that is stretching its troops, munitions and coffers.

Israel expects to complete strikes on its list of top military targets in Iran in the coming days, which Israeli officials said would provide a window to stop the fighting. The officials said they didn’t expect a retaliatory attack Monday by Iran on a U.S.-run military base to change their calculus.

Explosions in Doha: Iran launches 11 missiles at Qatar, Iraq In a Symbolic Attack| Live updates

Qatar's air defense system successfully intercepted the missiles; Iran coordinated the symbolic attack with Qatar to avoid escalatikon, NYT reports; Retaliatory attack comes after Tehran's threats to retaliate against the U.S.'s strikes on Iranian nuclear sites

Iran coordinated its Monday night attack on the American air base at Al-Udeid with officials in Qatar, and even gave advance warning of the time of the attack in order to minimize casualties and allow all sides an "exit point," the New York Times reported.

Three Iranian sources familiar with the operation said it was a symbolic need to respond to the U.S. strikes, but in a way that would avoid a full-scale escalation. The sources compared the strategy to a similar move Iran took in 2020, when it warned Iraq before launching missiles at a US base in response to the killing of General Qassem Soleimani.
