Comments: Kamkar, Farzad so eloquently explained the obstacles of getting free health care and education at the Federal government level. I want to add couple more points here. Change is a slow process. Sometimes it takes generations. Federal policy route is the ultimate way to go, but not the only option. Overwhelming “ real meaningful “ changes that impact ordinary people’s lives, on the policy side, take place at the local or state level. At least in California, since that is what I see. And politicians are not usually the driving engines, but somehow delivering mandates. For that to take place you need an army of people to change/influence the legal and legislative landscape of decision makers. And in order to have that skilled army , you need to train them. This is where activism, support of non profits and being involved in grass roots matters. Next time we meet , I’ll show you first hand, the results of such work. In small and also grandeur populace. You want the change, make it happen. Or simply move to California:) or should I say Republic of California:)
Comments: Jill Stein got more votes in Michigan and Wisconsin than the difference of Trump and Hillary votes. There is a long history of these peace loving progressives handing elections to Trump and Bush. On the other side, we had Perot who stabbed Bush senior in the back and opened a lane for the comeback kid.
Comments: Very small and insignificant population sample. Not impact in overall poll results at all But survey of Muslim populations in three swing states show Jill stein and Cornel West getting more votes than Trump and Harris. The only possible significance could be Michigan
Comments: KAmkAr, I myself am promoter of Free healthcare and free education for all. I would say shelter for everyone too. But I think US being icon of capitalism and anti Marxism socialism and communism does everything it can to disassociate herself from those ideologies. That is why our Labor Day for example is different from any other country in the world. Our is first Monday of September and rest of the world is the infamous May Day. I think the idea is that you take one inch towards those ideologies, more will be asked towards it. I think US is extremely sensitive to it. Both on the democrats and republican side. Bernie sanders was the closest towards that and we saw how easily he was put aside. That is the philosophy of United States of America.
Comments: Neocons are definitely real. it was the birth child of PNAC that led to all the wars we've been witnessing during the past few decades. All of them wars turned out really bad for the US and the world but the neocons are still at it and not quitting.

Yes, you might see them in C-SPAN but who watches that. In brief the elections are rigged way before the voting starts.

If the country wants and needs changes, the focus must be on the most important issues like healthcare and free education. The candidates are just talking heads and their personality/character doesn't matter. The whole country must yell at them about those issues. These prostitute politicians love it when healthcare and education is not discussed. Of course they will lie their asses off. Like Zombie Biden promised to forgiving the student loans during the campaign.
