Comments: My apologies for changing the topic of discussion to Iran :) Yesterday, it was announced that the population of Iran has now exceeded 91 million! Considering the slow birth rate this jump was not supposed to happen for another 12 years! Has the government push for larger family size in the last few years been so effective? Or is there any credence to the fact that migration from Afghanistan and Iraq has reached to an uncontrollable level ( 10-15 million undocumented afghanis is often mentioned) Today I read that one of the deputies is predicting that in 10 years Afghanis will surpass Persians as the most numerous ethnic group! What are your thoughts?
