رنار از سرمربیگری تیم ملی عربستان اخراج شد

فدراسیون فوتبال عربستان در آستانه جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ با سرمربی فرانسوی تیم ملی این کشور، قطع همکاری کرد.

«رادیو مونت کارلو» فرانسه خبر می‌دهد که این مربی فرانسوی امروز (جمعه) به طور رسمی از سمت سرمربیگری تیم ملی عربستان سعودی برکنار شده است. این سرمربی فرانسوی در حالی در فاصله ۵۵ روز مانده به آغاز جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ از سمت سرمربیگری عربستان اخراج شد که قرار بود برای دومین در مسابقات جام جهانی هدایت شاهین‌ها (لقب تیم ملی فوتبال عربستان) را برعهده داشته باشد.

گفته می‌شود طرفین با توافقی دو جانبه به همکاری با یکدیگر پایان داده‌اند و رنار ۵ میلیون یورو به عنوان غرامت دریافت خواهد کرد. عربستان که در جام جهانی ۲۰۲۲ با سرمربیگری اروی رنار در همان مرحله گروهی از دور رقابت‌ها حذف شد، در گروه H بیست‌وسومین دوره این رقابت‌ها با تیم‌های کیپ ورد، اسپانیا و اروگوئه همگروه است.

رنارد ۵۷ ساله پیش از این بین سال‌های ۲۰۱۹ تا ۲۰۲۳ هدایت تیم ملی عربستان سعودی را بر عهده داشت و آنها را به جام جهانی ۲۰۲۲ قطر رساند، جایی در بازی اول خود در مرحله گروهی آن رقابت‌ها هم با نتیجه ۲ بر یک آرژانتین را شکست دادند، تیمی که در نهایت قهرمان شد.

او در ماه اکتبر ۲۰۲۴ به نیمکت تیم ملی عربستان بازگشت و موفق شد این کشور را به جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ برساند.

Iran women football players thank Australian government for protection

Iranian women ‌football players Fatemeh Pasandideh and Atefeh Ramezanisadeh have thanked the ⁠Australian government ⁠for offering a “safe haven” and said they wished to resume their sporting careers after rebuilding their ⁠lives.

In their first public comments since being granted humanitarian visas, the players said in a statement on Friday the compassion and support ⁠shown to them had provided them hope for a future where they could live and compete in safety.

“We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Australian government, and particularly Home Affairs Minister ‌Tony Burke, for granting us humanitarian protection and a safe haven in this beautiful country,” they said.

Australia initially granted humanitarian visas to six players and one support staff member from the Iranian squad after their Asian Cup campaign in Australia began just as the United States and Israel launched ⁠air strikes on Iran.

Five of the group subsequently ⁠changed their minds and decided to return home, leaving only Pasandideh and Ramezanisadeh in Australia.

The duo began training with the A-League Women’s team Brisbane Roar last month.

“At ⁠this stage, our primary focus is on our safety, our health and beginning the process ⁠of rebuilding our lives,” they said.

“We are ⁠elite athletes, and it remains our dream to continue our sporting careers here in Australia.”

Concerns over the Iranian players’ safety surfaced after several players did not ‌sing the national anthem at an Asian Cup match, with Iranian state TV labelling them “wartime traitors”.

The rest of the team arrived ‌home ‌in Iran last month via the Turkish border after a fraught return journey from Australia.
