In Ventura county all oak trees are tagged and is against the law to even cut one branch. فاجعه خاموش در زاگرس؛ قطع بلوط‌های چند صد ساله برای چند گونی زغالاز سه درخت کهنسال، گاه با عمری بیش از ۵۰ سال، تنها یک گونی زغال تولید می‌شود که با قیمتی حدود ۳۰۰ تا ۵۰۰ هزار تومان در بازار به فروش میرسدتخریب جنگل‌های بلوط زاگرس به بهانه پروژه‌های عمرانی در کنار زغال‌سازی، پروژه‌های عمرانی نیز از دیگر عوامل ویرانی جنگل‌های بلوط محسوب می‌شوند. اسفندماه سال ۱۴۰۳، خبر تخریب بخش‌هایی از جنگل‌های زاگرس در جاده شاهزاده احمد اندیمشک منتشر شد. مطابق گزارش پایگاه خبری «رکنا»، این تخریب در پی عملیات عمرانی شرکت ملی نفت برای تعریض مسیر عبور ماشین‌آلات حفاری انجام شد. قطع و نابودی درختان بلوط و بادام در این پروژه اعتراض شدید فعالان محیط زیست را در پی داشت. البته چنین وقایعی در منطقه زاگرس مسبوق به سابقه‌اند. مردادماه ۱۴۰۲، در منطقه دشت ارژن استان فارس، فعالان محیط زیست از قطع شش هزار اصله درخت بلوط برای احداث یک مسیر جاده‌ای به طول هشت کیلومتر در تنگ بولهیات خبر دادند. اگرچه این پروژه در چارچوب طرح‌های توسعه‌ای تعریف شد، نادیده گرفتن ارزش زیست‌محیطی و تاریخی این درختان نشان از غفلت و ناکارآمدی درک اکولوژیکی تصمیم‌گیران دارد. ارزش واقعی هر اصله درخت بلوط کهنسال برای طبیعت ایران بالغ بر ۲۰۰ هزار دلار بر پایه نظر کارشناسان، ارزش هر اصله درخت بلوط از منظر اقتصادی، زیست‌محیطی و اکولوژیکی بالغ بر ۲۰۰ هزار دلار براورد می‌شود. جنگل‌های بلوط زاگرس در تامین ۴۰ درصد آب شیرین ایران هم نقش مستقیمی دارند و هر هکتار از آن‌ها سالانه بیش از ۲.۵ تن ریزگرد را تصفیه می‌کند. با وجود این اهمیت، مدیران و مجریان پروژه‌های عمرانی غالبا بدون ارزیابی زیست‌محیطی به تخریب این جنگل‌ها اقدام می‌کنند. نمونه‌ای تلخ‌تر از این تخریب‌ها مربوط به سال ۱۳۹۹ است؛ زمانی که برای ساخت یک جاده دسترسی به روستای وزوه در منطقه پشتکوه، دست‌کم چهار هزار درخت بلوط قطع شد، در حالی که جمعیت این روستا تنها ۱۰ خانوار بود. اما خطر فراتر از قطع درختان است. اردیبهشت‌ماه ۱۴۰۴، معاون امور جنگل سازمان منابع طبیعی و آبخیزداری کشور، از پدیده زوال درختان بلوط خبر داد. به گفته رسول اشرفی‌پور، قامت درختان بلوط به‌شدت کاهش یافته است و امروز در بهترین شرایط، ارتفاع آن‌ها به چهار یا پنج متر می‌رسد، در حالی که میانگین پیشین تا ۲۵ متر بود. او افزود: در دهه‌های گذشته، رویکرد به جنگل‌های زاگرس بر پایه عقلانیت نبود و بهره‌برداری بی‌رحمانه برای زغال‌گیری باعث نابودی توده‌های جنگلی شد. به گفته او، بیش از ۹۰ درصد جنگل‌های زاگرس به شاخه‌زارهایی کم‌جان بدل شده‌اند و روند تجدید حیات طبیعی به‌ندرت در آن‌ها رخ می‌دهد.

Comments: I want to speak about another topic. As you all know, Tractor won the IPL championship for the first time. In the past, Tractor has tried many different foreign and domestic coaches in addition to attracting many top class players, but never could even get close to championship. What was the difference this time? Two reason, 1) Hiring a great coach who has proven himself at different clubs and national team and always exceeded expectation. I believe IFF is now kicking themself for firing him after a hugely successful period to qualify Iran for WC 22 and replacing him with KIR. What affected me personally is his honesty that players would love. He is asked why Croatian coaches do not get as much resect in Iran despite their success? His response is we ( Craotian) do not view Iran from top to bottom, unlike coaches like KIR. This is so true. He demand was to sign few players from Perspolis, and few foreigners that he knew who were not that expensive. The combination looked like a champ from day 1. Tractor must go out of their way and pay him whatever he wants, otherwise, they can not repeat their success this year.

Clinton was the only president that converted the national deficit into a national surplus. And after the neocons got themselves to the office after him with cheating and a Supreme Court verdict in 2000 election everything went south in this country. With military Industrial complex pocketing all the money while putting the nation in a severe national debt. One third of our tax money which you and I work hard for just goes to pay for the interest on national debt. Almost 2 trillion a year. Can you imagine what we can do with this 2T for the national interest of the United States? Is he doing the right thing? Will he succeed? I don't know. But I hope that he succeed for the sake of the future of this country. I don't want him to fail because this nation will be fucked. Something has to be done. And many believe that indeed this desperate national crisis needs desperate measures. I have my fingers crossed. Otherwise our children and grandchildren will have to pay hefty price for the mess created in the past 25 years. Sure we can debate on technicalities of the approach. And that is so fascinating about what is happening. We are at a turning point in this country and in the world. Jokes will always remain jokes and I am sure nobody makes decisions based on these jokes on either side. I am praying for future of our beloved country here. And I am sure you do too.
