I will cover England, Switzerland, Türkiye, and the Netherlands tomorrow. With brutal background of some of these nations such as genocides against Armenians, crimes against Indonesians, invasion of Iran, Switzerland may be home free. 

Guidance for picking the right team to root for in Euro 2024. One can select a favorite team based on favorite genocide.  I know it is disappointing that Israel is not on the list but the good news is they already paid their تقاص  by not making Euro 2024. 

 

 

❌ Spain - Spain committed heinous & racist atrocities with the Inquisition, Casta system & horrific enslavement & colonization of Mexico and Central America. They slaughtered many natives and took lots of resources, such as silver and gold from Mexico, however, they never gave anything in return. Spain made Encomienda system and enslaved natives.

 

 

❌ Germany - committed systematic war crimes, including massacres, mass rape, looting, the exploitation of forced labour, the murder of three million Soviet prisoners of war, and participated in the extermination of Jews. Other sadistic crimes involves tortures conducted by units such as Unit 731, with some examples being infecting prisoners with deadly diseases for ‘study’, conducting ‘surgery’ (i put surgery in brackets because the ‘surgeries’ are mostly taking vital organs out of the human body to see the after effects… all without anesthesia, of course.), bayonetting babies out of their mothers womb, etc.

 

 

✅ France - On May 8, 1945, the French army, acting on its general's orders, killed at least 45,000 Algerians in repression efforts. Seventy-eight years later, the massacre of 45,000 Algerian nationals by French troops remains fresh in people's minds. The Paris massacre of 1961 (also called the 17 October 1961 massacre in France) was the mass killing of Algerians who were living in Paris by the French National Police. It occurred on 17 October 1961, during the Algerian War (1954–62). Under orders from the head of the Parisian police, Maurice Papon, the National Police attacked a demonstration by 30,000 pro-National Liberation Front (FLN) Algerians.

 

 

❌ Portugal - The Wiriyamu Massacre or Operation Marosca was a massacre of the civilian population of the village of Wiriyamu in Mozambique by Portuguese soldiers in December 1972. The Portuguese also responded to popular uprisings with methodical brutality and wonton destruction of indigenous populations. Napalm and chemical defoliants were frequently used to terrorize civilians, destroy vegetation, and exterminate villages. Torture, dismemberment, and summary executions were routine practices in the Portuguese attempts to root out rebel cadres and civilian sympathizers.
