Ahmadreza Djalali, an Iranian-born Swedish resident and expert in emergency disaster medicine who has been detained in Evin Prison without trial since April 24, 2016, is prepared to “die” on hunger strike rather than be executed, his wife told the Campaign for Human Rights in Iran. Djalali was arrested by the Intelligence Ministry while visiting the Iranian capital after being officially invited by Tehran University.

Comments: So Shahin bottom line is that this was done in a hurry. The judiciary spokesperson in Sweden two weeks ago said that the prime minister has sent a bill to parliament to allow prisoner exchange. This was never voted or approved by the parliament. Comments: Everyone was under the assumption that if Nouri is release he will be swapped with Djalali. Now with Sweden not having an Iranian in prison all hopes for Djalali's release is gone.
