Anti war student movements have a long history in this country due to US being engaged in so many wars. Many social freedoms that different sectors enjoys, civil rights movements, voting rights for women, fairer labor laws, were result of various struggles that can find their roots in what started in early 20th century, initially starting as students protesting US participation to the First World War, later joined by labor groups.
