Comments: Shahin, I think you would like this: I received a message from the endowment this morning at the midst of your discussions on psychology of different perceptions on the same sporting event. The lengthy message basically implied that we all need to see our teams wins, because of our mental health demand the gratification of victory. And the message ended as: Having said all that, go 49ers!
Comments: One of the attractions of having Shahin and Farzad here, despite occasional moozigari:), is the educational aspect of their educational and informative posts. I have always had this gratitude towards those who cared to educate! Viewing and being part of different Ifp’s , meeting many of the personalities, I think I can credit these two most in terms of substantive information, rather than hoopla and emotional “ gheirati” rhetorics.! Ali P which I miss , also was a good source of information
Comments: Photoshop is not AI.
Comments: KAmkAr Again, here is how VAR works. 1- goal and offside review is done by goal line and offside line technology and does not require Ref's review. Always. No ref review. 2- The whole 90 minutes is under meticulous review by VAR crew. 3- If anything requires more review they will let the ref know that something is under review. if the review is quick enough and obvious like the no foul on Taremi then they just continue. 4- if after review the decision is unanimous and in line with the call on the field they continue and they don't call ref for review. 5- if after review the decision is not unanimous (2-1 in a 3 person crew) or (3-2 in 5 person review) or if VAR crew unanimously are against the Ref's call, then they call the ref to come and look and make the final call. The review in person by ref is for 1- Questionable handball pk inside 18, 2- questionable Foul PK inside 18, or 3- questionable red card. The ref is not required to review whether the foul occurred inside 18 or outside. That is done by line technology. And lastly according to Faghani in Footbalitarin, All PKs in favor of Qatar were correct. He concluded that without the VAR interference the score would have been 1-1 in the regulation and with VAR it is 3-1 and that is the correct final score.
Comments: Farzad: Outside the bubble is a very scary world 😂
Comments: I guess AI was not used in the PK that was called for us 😂 Digital graphic manipulation is not called AI. All you need for that is a desktop software.
Comments: Shahin. As you said Qatar had an easy path. Just wanted to note that typically group A which includes the host has easier path. AFCON scheme was the same. And same scenario for the top 4 best 3rd place. Same route as Asian cup. ▫️ But in AFCON the host Ivory coast finished 3rd in group A. 3 points and -3 goal difference. They were practically eliminated. And they fired the coach. But the results of last day of group stage panned out such that Ivory Coast made it as the last 3rd place team. And now they are in finals.
Comments: AFCON Final ▫️ Nigeria vs Ivory Coast. Noon pacific.
Comments: KAmkAr . Did you watch that دختر شاه پریان Video? First 3 min specially at 2:25
Comments: If that ball would have turned into a goal, BV could have been credited with the assist.
Comments: Farzad, I change my mind. I guess my wishful thinking side saw the touching of the ball by Taremi. Now that I look at it looked like a clean tackle. Taremi's mistake was that his first touch of the ball was to his right. Had his first touch would have been slightly to the left then he sure could have put the ball in the net.
Comments: The video footage and pictures are clear and all post game expert views the same. All of these are VARed. They did and they rightfully found nothing. Everything is under the microscope of VAR. Just because they don’t call ref that does not mean it did not happen. They saw it, like I saw it, and play on. Even during the game for good 2-3 minutes they talked about this that how correct of a no call it was. Taremi did not even protest or making comments during the game and after the game. The defender clearly tackles the ball first. Any contact after the clearance is not a foul. But if you see something different note it so we can see too.
Comments:
Comments: Farzad, there is no doubt that Taremi was fouled outside the 18 yards line. The Qatari defender should have gotten at least a yellow. I say yellow because there were other defenders around otherwise would have been a red. Only if they would have VARed that foul, then the goal would have been called back. |
