Comments: I'd agree with the desperation reasoning. They got nothing to lose. Theses poor people are living in a catastrophic open air prison setting. They're getting humiliated day in and day out. They did so knowing what Israel's wrath will be upon them and they still didn't mind.
Comments: I would say desperation, I would say religious (because Islam does not respect human values, specially infidels). ' But what is happening in Gaza especially (cutting off running water) is as barbaric. The optics look different and looks more civilized. ' Shahin, works short term for Bibi. As he will have international backing. ' Any country stepped up to ask for ceasefire? I mean not just talk or slogans.
Comments: Not surprised Egypt intelligence official says Israel ignored repeated warnings of ‘something big’
Comments: Cyruss: The raid was barbaric and they taped it themselves to look that way. I think it was mis-calculation. They thought hezbollah would come from the north and may be Syria from the east to destabilize the region. So far that has not really happened. I also think this will work against Bibi. Someone mentioned to me that Golda Meir was ousted back in 1973 after a failure to something similar to this by her opponents
Comments: Doostan, please share your take on the psychology of barbarism displayed by Hamas militants on Saturday’s raid. Is it religion? Desperation? Or anything else?
Comments: IDF took control of Sderot back from Hamas militants sometime between Sunday and Monday. Sderot, before being kibutz of said name, was a Palestinian village called Huj. One of the most heartbreaking stories of formation of State of Israel. During Jewish militancy run ins with British colonialists, people of Huj provided refuge to their Jewish neighbors to the north and hid them from Brits. Only to see their village invaded by the same group a year later and kicked out of their birthplace. All the villagers became refugees at Ghaza.
Comments: KAmkAr. When it comes to Israel, Fox and CNN sound the same. The only difference is that Fox blames Biden for the $6 billion and CNN blames Trump why he mixed JCPOA. Both live Abraham accord though.
Comments: Didn’t know that Israel was exempt from the Geneva convention 🤔🤔
Comments: Shahin I don't get MSNBC. When I was picking my 24 hrs News networks from my cable company menu, I chose CNN. I wonder how bad is it on Fox News?
Comments: Yes there were militia terror attacks between the two and yes Menachem Begin was part or head of an underground Zionist group. He was fighting the British too. What is astonishing about Begin is that when the UN resolution of the partition was approved, the Arab countries rejected it, Begin on the Israeli side also opposed and rejected it, for completely a different reason.
Comments: Kamkar: I have been watching CNN, MSNBC & Al Jazeera coverages. I have to say that MSNBC is the most balanced. Al Jazeera covers mostly the Palestinian side and destruction in Gaza and their commentators mostly try to justify & say what did you expect. They really do not try to explain what the hell was Hamas thinking. CNN is opposite. MSNBC actually have couple of anchors one Egyptian and one Iranian that can clearly articulate and tell you both sides
Comments: We all know Hamas cannot destroy Israel. They also knew too well as what an Israeli reaction would look like. So what is winning to them right now considering what is happening to the people of Gaza. They knew these people would get massacred
Comments: https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-raises-death-toll-9-131001914.html Israel would never survive without AIPAC. American tax dollars at work
Comments: The Hamas attack was a Russia moment” for Israel. Not as strong as everyone thinks. So far IRI gave Israel a huge blow. Whether we like it or now IRI is the dominant power right now. Seems Americans call Hamas and Homus same thing. |
