Out of top 5 ranked women national teams #2 Germany is eliminated and with the upcoming game between USA vs Sweden (both favorites to win the cup) another top 5 team will be eliminated. The US did not look good against Portugal in terms of scoring. Other than beating Vietnam 3-0, they tied their next two games against Portugal and The Netherlands. Although Netherlands showed a very strong showing.

 

 

Sweden on the other hand after struggling against South Africa and falling behind, Sweden came back strong and has not allowed any goals. Sweden is favorite in the game against the USA.

 

 

Norway had a sluggish start losing to the host New Zealand, tying Swiss and finally beating Philippines 6-0. Japan should be favorite based on the results so far but has not been tested against tall and physically strong white team like Norway.

 

 

Switzerland a lower ranked euro team is the only Euro team which has not allowed any goals along with Japan and Jamaica. They should be able pass through Spain mainly through their physical strength. But then again Spain beat a euro physical team Norway not a long ago.
