Comments: The writers strike stopped production for many showed.
Comments: “ Maher is out of HBO”! What happened to Bill Maher?
Comments: Was not meant to be specific. It is implying mainstream media of both sides of the establishment. These two networks are the iconic representatives of it. This is why Maher is out of HBO and Carlson out of Fox. And they are two extremes of the spectrum. The interesting part is two periods, and what they have in common. The period before 2000 election in Clinton's second term, and the period before 2020 election. The common themes were smearing of the incumbent president, creating scandals about the incumbent president, impeaching the incumbent President, election results being questioned and challenged, and ultimately in both cases Neoconservatives Republicans taking over the Whitehouse, doing their things. Sure, may not mean anything, but interesting.

Comments: Farzad, “Mainstream media houses, such as Fox News and CNN, led an anti-Trump campaign throughout his tenure at the White House”. Fox News anti-Trump? MSNBC would be more appropriate, or am I missing a point about this
Comments: Watching WWC games, I thought Spain was the best team until Japan showed up. Japan played a measured and smart game (ala CQ style) against the tiki-taka style of Spain. I still think one of these two teams will take the crown. Their only weakness would be against an extremely physical team, they may get thrown off their game. I think Spain learnt from Japan game and will not make the same mistake in defending.

Comments: Farzad, Thanks for the short article that explained it all in a nutshell which suits me fine. I do not have longest attention span. When it comes to American foreign policy, all I know is that it's an evil one not only for the rest of the world but also in long run for their own interest.

Comments: KAmkAr and Zinsky. Read this brief history about the Neoconservative Republicans. No conspiracy theory here, these are facts as it happened. You don’t have to debate, agree or anything. Just read and If you disagree just toss it away. The Neoconservatives (From GWB to Trump to Biden) American Foreign policy emerged as a more hawkish and offensive that continued to dominate the geopolitical thinking of the American political elites, both within the powerful segments of the Democratic and Republican parties. Neo-cons were the most powerful and hawkish group in the United States, which began dominating powerful sectors and policy-making institutions after the end of the Cold War. Over the course of a decade, the neo-cons have remained successful in dominating the major power centers in the United States, including the White House, Media, and Pentagon. Finally, with George W. Bush (jr) in power, the neo-cons completely overtake the powerful sectors of the United States. Starting with George W. Bush’s vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of the State Colin Powell, and several other national security officials such as Paul Wolfowitz, Stephen Hedley, and Collin Powel’s successor Condoleezza Rice. The latter mentioned that powerful officials under the Bush Administration were neo-cons who shaped the Bush doctrine and dictated the course of U.S. foreign policy accordingly. The first major outcome of the neo-cons domination of U.S. foreign policy occurred when the Bush Administration decided to invade Iraq under the false flag of WMDs, which Iraq never had. Powerful neo-con senators, such as John McCain and Joe Biden, who served in the U.S. The Senate Committee on Armed Services lobbied for the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation. Though the occupation of Iraq remained disastrous for American foreign policy in the Middle East, however, the domination of the neo-cons of the Bush administration relegated this intentional disaster. The failure of U.S. foreign policy in Iraq pushed away the neo-cons as they attempted the scapegoat under the guise of the U.S. so-called war on global terrorism. The hawkish foreign policy continued even under the administration of Barack Obama, at a lesser degree, whose administration inherited some of the neo-cons officials such as Joe Biden as the Vice President, Robert Gates as the Secretary of Defense, Samantha Power as the permanent representative to the UN, and advisor on Foreign affairs, and Hillary Clinton as the Secretary of the State. The Obama administration, unwillingly and unintentionally, in one way or another continued the foreign policy of the Bush Administration that led to another illegal invasion of a Sovereign nation, Libya in 2011. The consequence of this brutal invasion by the U.S. offensive military bloc NATO was similar to that of the Iraq invasion resulting in tens of thousands of civilian deaths and insecurity in the whole region. It was Under President Donald Trump that the neo-cons were pushed aside, except Bolton, who served as the National Security advisor for a short time. Donald Trump attempted to take the U.S. out of the chaos created by the neo-cons-dominated administrations in the U.S. Under the Trump administration, the U.S. military was pulled out of Iraq, and Syria, and not even a single defence contract was given to the Military Industrial complex. As president of the United States, Donald Trump criticized the earlier neo-cons-dominated Administrations of the U.S. for wasting trillions of dollars in taxpayers’ money for illegal invasions. Donald Trump’s anti-globalist policy stance made him an evil adversary in the eyes of the U.S. deep state, political elites, and corporate media. Mainstream media houses, such as Fox News and CNN, led an anti-Trump campaign throughout his tenure at the White House.
