Comments: Farzad: We also have people totally opposite of the chapi guy you mentioned and that is RP supporters and RP himself who let them do it. They call all the people you praised including yourself and I (just because we praise level headed people) 57ti chapi that should not have any voice in current opposition and future of Iran

Comments: Shahin thanks for the background on Azizi. I have shit load of respect for people like Aziz, Milani, and even Misaghi and I am sure there are more people like them who have open and dynamic thought process as oppose to many whose brain just simply froze since the 70's. . We were all at some point at the other side of the fence. But most of what I was taught was based on what was fed to me and one realizes at some point where things don't make sense anymore. . I kid you you not. I was at some chelo kababi parking lot last year talking a bit politics with my cousins and this guy (a bit older than us) kind of was hearing what we're saying and came in and participated. Started talking about bourgeoisie and petit bourgeoisie and all nonsense and still using expressions such as imperialism and stuff. Turned out he was still a chereek fadaei of Ashraf Deghan branch. We were like dude... Are you fucking kidding me??!!! . And honestly the only thing I could suggest to him (did not) was to go and see a therapist.

Comments: What a boost this Saudi invasion has done for European clubs especially the top ones. Basically is like having bad debt or deflated properties and Saudis came in took them off your books and paid you 3 times what they are worth
Comments: Farzad: I agree with most of what Arash Azizi said but wanted to give you some background on him to let you know where his perspective is coming from. He is a self proclaimed communist living in US teaching politics. He is the son of Mostafa Azizi screen writer that was arrested but eventually pardoned and now lives in Toronto. Arash was the first recipient of Ardeshir Zahedi fellow (https://iranian-studies.stanford.edu/news/welcoming-inaugural-zahedi-family-fellow-stanford) organized by MIlani. Although I did not see any work coming out of him as I think there was a falling out between him and Milani. He is a very modern communist more of a social democrat. He goes to Israel a lot and has a lot of Israeli social democrat friend.
Comments: Sad to see how things turned out for our country after 57!

Comments: Iran is doubling down on enforcing hijab Now the Iranian regime feels secure enough to being going after women again. Part of this is because the regime finds it easier to attack women than achieve other results, like deal with economic or environmental problems. Recent media reports in Iranian pro-regime media hammer home how much the regime is focusing on policing women today. Former Iranian prisoners of conscience have said they were filmed during strip searches in prisons. They also said some detainees were forced to remove their sanitary pad or tampon during their period and squat or squat jump. "They do this to humiliate us," Mozhgan Keshavarz, who spent nearly three years behind bars, mostly in notorious Evin and Qarchak prison in Tehran province. She said she experienced three strip searches in front of security cameras during her incarceration, which ended in January 2022. The third time, a female prison guard took photographs of her naked, she said. When Ms Keshavarz protested, she was told it was necessary to counter future claims of torture. "Who would see these videos and pictures? Would the regime use them later to silence us?" she asked, referring to the risk of being blackmailed even when her sentence was over.

Comments: ‘Mentioned to me’: £17m Tottenham target could now end up at Fulham if Mitrovic goes – journalistTottenham may well be in the market for a new striker this summer and Mehdi Taremi is one option the north London club are looking at. The £17m forward was linked to Tottenham as a potential replacement for Harry Kane last we
Fulham in for TaremiJones shared what he knows about the Iranian forward. “It’s so disheartening, he clearly does want to go. I spoke to a guy who has covered Al-Hilal out there and stuff and I said it has to be upwards of £50m, and he didn’t think they would go that high,” Jones said. “I want to be excited about this, if we are losing Mitro I want to be excited about what happens from there. “Players often get what they want, I hope Mitro isn’t going on strike to force this. Mehdi Taremi was one who was mentioned to me who we might look at, I don’t mind that at all.” Tread carefullyFulham need to tread carefully here. Mitrovic’s goals will need replacing if he heads to Saudi Arabia, and while Taremi has been scoring goals for fun in Portugal for a while now, the Portuguese League can be a funny one. Let’s not forget, Carlos Vinicius was once a Golden Boot winner over in Portugal and both Tottenham and Fulham know that he, quite simply, isn’t that good at this level. This would be a real gamble for Fulham. |
