It must be a really tough situation for those who have lost or have their houses badly damaged. I hope things get under control and people specially our hamvatans can recover from this soon. I don't want to shift the attention and the importance of this natural disaster but one could only imagen what the poor people in Gaza have gone through for way over a year now. With their belonging on their back moving from one part of the narrow open air prison to another so called "safe zone" only to have that zone bombed too. We live in an area with frequent hurricanes and we have had to move out to cities 300 miles north of us with higher grounds but I will take the natural disasters over genocide anytime and anyplace.

The devastation in Palisades, Altadena, and Malibu is beyond belief. My heart goes out to so many who have lost their properties and life time mementos. It is absolutely devastating.

Many Iranian scholars along with many celebrities live there. Many residences have been there for like almost 100 years when Angelenos first move there. A few MD / JD friends of mine lost their properties. My cousin does not know if he lost his place as he has not been allowed to be back. Many others are in hotels and or with relatives. The whole community of pacific palisades is just leveled.

Many iconic restaurants and places are gone. My favorites were Reel Inn, Rosenthal Winery, and Cholada Thai place. All gone. Trying to find out if the sacred spiritual center Lake Shrine is still intact.

Once again it is a total devastation and it just such a terrible event. Whether you are a multimillionaire celebrity or just an ordinary person. It is bad.

The most amazing thing is the number of casualties. Human value of the citizens is first priority. I think authorities did a great job of forcing evacuation. And even though it was chaotic and even though people abandoned their cars in the middle of the roads they were managed to save their lives. The death toll was amazingly minimal.

Friends and I are renting a chopper to see the devastated areas. It is restricted area now but the pilot said it will open on Saturday.

This is historic. Insurances in many areas of Southern California refuse to renew or even canceled some of the homeowners insurances specially in Malibu and Palisades area. This is the most expensive part of LA with properties priced at 8 digit. Many of the homeowners have no mortgage and unfortunately since there is no mortgage there is no obligation by the bank to have a mandatory coverage. And many did not.

Such is life. Life is comprised of these peaks and valleys and you just have to get up, shrug it off, and move on. Life goes on.

I was following the LA area fire and high winds last night. Looks really bad. Hope things settle down and the good news is the lack of casualties.

Can't say enough about this devastating fire. Many of our hamvatans live in the affected areas. Have many friends and relatives living there.

Total devastation here in Santa Monica Palisades and Malibu. It is a total Armageddon. A surreal scene. Angelinos never seen anything like this. What is amazing is minimal loss of lives. Last night was the worst with near 90 miles per hour.

What Italians and spaniards are doing by moving their big cup games to Riyaz, in my opinion is such a گدا صفتی move. They are depriving their own fans for the money that the Saudies are giving them. This is probably something the English and German clubs won't do.
