Comments: Farzad with all the fraud you talked about 2000 and knowing that you're politically very well informed, I wonder what makes you get excited about the elections? Add to that the nonsense electoral vote vs popular vote, gerrymandering, and the biggest of them all, the big money that always determines the outcome. Toe democracy is only a word. There is no way in the world that big corporations and specifically MIC allows average naive American voters to chose a president. Only my 2 cents.
Comments: However and with whichever lens you want to look at jan 6, the country did not change and democracy is intact. We have the same process as previous elections to elect a president. Even though The Supreme Court gave the presidency to the Neocons in 2000 election between GWB and Al Gore, there is still a lot of questions on legitimacy of that call by SC in favor of the Neocons. Al Gore to this date believes that he won Florida and claimed that during the process of recount ballots by black voters were tossed out in far greater numbers than any other demographic. These are facts and not conspiracy theories. That's the neocons for you and since their emergence 25 years ago, the country has been in a downward spiral.
Comments: My prediction is Wisconsin will be the determining state in this election.
Comments: Farzad: What Trump was 30 years ago is irrelevant. What is relevant is the overturning of Roe vs. Wade and perhaps ACA by a 6-3 Supreme court that he has in his pocket. I also I have no confidence that he will bow out easily if he loses, remember Jan 6th?
Comments: Ok. I just noticed the Neocon / Globalist question came from Saeed. Makes sense now. I was surprised you (Shahin) questioned if they even exist. But it was not you.
Comments: Shahin, I know what image you have of trump and that is why you made that comment about TULSI and RFK. When I say this, I am being truly sincere. Trump is not really a Republican by definition. Sure from an economy and tax standpoint he is. Many of us are. Trump for example was an avid admirer of Bill Clinton Presidency. He voted for him and he supported and was by his side during his scandal. They were friends, played gulf together, and Bill Clinton even suggested to Trump he should run. If you rewind to 1998, Trump had a very different view of Bill Clinton, defending him as the real "victim" in the wake of the fallout of the Monica Lewinsky scandal and blasting the accusers as "terrible". “They've taken nothing and made it a big monster,” Trump said in reference to the Lewinsky scandal. “I mean they've made Watergate out of really what should've been nothing.” “I think he's terrific. I think the guy's terrific. I just hate the way he tried to get out of this mess,” Trump said. "In terms of myself, I love him as a president because business has been great, the economy's been booming. We have to give him credit,” he said. ![]()
Comments: I am going to make a prediction that by the November election time, neither RJK jr., nor Tulsi will be on Trump's team and will be having a falling out
Comments: Just went on my walk in the neighborhood. I thought you guys get a kick out of this ![]()
Comments: Shahin, as I mentioned the podcast that Lex Fridman had with RFK in the very beginning touches on Russia and Putin. Like the first 5 min.
Comments: Globalism in terms of economics is a great idea. And even sounds good on surface. No question about that. But like anything else it does have underlying details which raises eyebrows. Over the past few years, globalization and the international expansion have empowered other countries like China and India, while the United States has been on the decline. Not the greatest model for Strong America. Unless you are average Z and strong America is irrelevant to you. In the world of Globalism China and India are considered developing countries. Like are you fucking kidding me? One is number 2 and the other is number 5 largest economy. And you know what that means? When it came to Paris accord (clean air) they don't contribute Jack shit. They don't have to comply and they don't have to pay and they are exempt. US pays for them. That is wrong. That is why Trump left the accord.
Comments: Shahin "So the Neocons were working hard to benefit IRI?" My answer is very simple to that question. Neocons have one interest. And that interest is not national interest of the United States. Their main interest is Military Industrial Complex, Halliburtons and ..... it is to the benefit of certain industries and certain individuals... and yes Neocons were 100% in charge during GWB / Cheney. Project for the New American Century authored by the masters of neocons, Bill Kristol and Robert Kagan explains it all https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century#:~:text=It%20said%20the%20United%20States,prosperity%2C%20and%20our%20principles%22.
Comments: NATO is not going anywhere. Putin did not want to invade Ukraine. He was instigated. He invaded Ukraine twice. Obama time and Biden time (let's call it Neocon time. As much as Obama tried to kick the mother fuckers out they came back in some other way). And I admit they are everywhere. Nikki Haley's or Rubios for example who are supposedly pro Trump are Neocon. But Neocons are smart. They plant seeds elsewhere. 2000 election is another example. Somehow the main Neocon (Joe Lieberman) became Al Gore's running mate. Just in case GWB / Cheney don't make it. That's how they operate. It all started with "Russia Reset" in GWB era. Trump winning election (which he himself couldn't believe) was a disruption to that Russia Reset continuity. That is why in that election Bernie Sanders, although ahead, was pushed aside in favor of Neocon friendly Hillary. Democrats lost the election exactly because of this. Bernie would have been the winner "hands down" with a landslide against Trump. But Bernie would not have done Neocons any good. He was as bad as Trump in terms of choices for Neocons. "Russia Reset" is defined as regime change in Russia and toppling of Putin, for no major reasons. He wasn't doing anything. If anything he kept asking West to be part of the Western world. watch the first few minutes of Lex Friedman podcast with RFK. Regime change in Russia. That is what instigated everything.
Comments: I still do not understand or even believe in existence of neocones. May this be a made up theory of some liberals, which we know it is all bogus. I heard about it first time pre Iraq war. But I am not sure about it. In my opinion, Iraq was a big failure for US. The only beneficiary of Iraq war, was IRI. So the Neocons were working hard to benefit IRI? Globalism on the other hand, in my opinion is not a bad idea. It has made few poor countries extremly rich and powerful; India and China. Obviously, it has expanded capitalism.
Comments: Rumors within Trump circle is that RFK Jr and Tulsi Gabbard maybe appointed as CIA and DIA directors, respectively. Fits both of them well actually. Did not know, grabbing a banana by a U.S. soldier in a US base in Iraq costs $35 of taxpayers money. |
