Comments: NIAC celebrates Tim Walz as Harris’ vice-presidential pick The Iranian-American advocacy group praised the governor’s outreach to the Uncommitted campaign in Minnesota The National Iranian American Council, a U.S.-based Iranian-American advocacy group that advocates for diplomacy with the Iranian regime and is critical of the Biden administration’s approach to Israel and the Middle East, offered strong praise for Vice President Kamala Harris’ selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her vice-presidential nominee. Critics and Iranian dissidents accuse NIAC of being tied to the Iranian regime and describe it as a de-facto lobbying group for the regime, particularly opposing sanctions on Iran. “While some potential nominees for Vice President took strident positions against protests against the Gaza war, including urging crackdowns on student protests, Walz appears to have adopted a moderate position urging that protesters be listened to,” NIAC said in a lengthy statement on Walz, praising his approach to the Uncommitted campaign. Trita Parsi, the founder and former president of NIAC and co-founder of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, took a victory lap on X, formerly Twitter, after Walz was picked for the VP slot over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish. “Kamala chooses Tim Walz as VP over Shapiro. This signals a huge change in the political landscape of the Democratic party,” Parsi said. “Praising Netanyahu profusely and having served in the IDF is no longer a political merit. It’s a de-merit. Let that sink in.” Contrary to Parsi’s claims, Shapiro never served in the Israeli Defense Forces and has described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “one of the worst leaders of all time.”

Comments: Farzad,I liked the fact that you used the term IPL. That shows you ,unlike some people, consider Kurds, Turks,Baloochis,Lors,Gilaks,Arabs,etc....all Iranians. I have no problem with the term "Persian" when its used against our Arab neighbors. But to use it on purpose against all other minorities is not right.

I like "xyrs". How do you even pronounce it?
Comments: Revealed – How Inter Milan Will Line Up In Attack Vs Genoa Amidst The Return Of Iran FIFA World Cup Star![]() Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi should have Mehdi Taremi at his disposal once again for the Serie A opener against Genoa. So how will the Nerazzurri line up upfront? The Italian champions will begin their title defense campaign with a journey to Genoa. The fixture kicks off on Saturday at 18:45 CET. Many will be curious to see how Inzaghi will manage his attacking ranks this season following Taremi’s arrival. Last season, the hierarchy was pretty clear. Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram cemented themselves as the undisputed starters, while Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez were mere backups. The Austrian and the Chilean only collected 1,141 and 1,110 respectively across all competitions last season. But as La Gazzetta dello Sport notes, Taremi is aiming for much higher figures. The 32-year-old won’t settle for an understudy role. Instead, he will be hoping to establish himself as an important element in Inzaghi’s rotation. Hence, the contest against Genoa could provide us with the first indication of how Inzaghi plans to deploy his three main strikers. |
